• Quite.
• Rude hostess, unsanitary.

“The hostess was very rude upon arrival. As the phone was more of a priority than me. Than when we got our key it did not work along with others checking in. And she was very rude about fixing the problem. Than in our new room there was a trail of hair from the door way of the bathroom to and into the tub and makeup spots on the white linen. Not the worst stay but not the best either.”

• The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. It had a lovely breakfast.
• We found nothing we disliked about the hotel.

“We had some shopping to do in the local area and then were going to Downtown Chicago. The hotel was well placed for both these activities. It was priced fairly and access to major highways was convenient so the short trip Downtown was no problem because of the money saved. There was also some top quality restaurants located nearby. The hotel was clean, quiet and spacious. We would gladly stay there anytime.”

“This hotel has seen better days. It has not been maintained at a high standard and the grounds were cluttered with some trash. The hallways did not smell good, but the rooms smelled o.k. and were adequate, although the sink had a nonfunctioning drain plug. The staff did call to ask if the room was satisfactory. My son told them that it was adequate without mentioning the drain plug. The only aggravating problem was the fact that they have billed me twice on my credit card for the one-night stay.”

• Large, clean and bright bathroom, able to adjust heat in the room.
• Shower head too low.

“The room was very clean and quiet. Nice desk and work area with free wi-fi. Bed and pillows very comfortable. I had early meetings so did not get a chance to try the breakfast.”

• The most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in.

• Staff was helpful, rooms were clean, beds were o.k., convenient to good shopping.
• My daughter's car tires were punchered on the side on the tire and was destroyed, had to be replaced.

“Older, but renovated not too long ago. Rooms were clean, but did not have ice on our floor or the one above us. Breakfast was sufficient for a quick one, staff was friendly and helpful. Motel is located close to nice shopping malls also plenty of eating establishments”

• My room smelled like old smoke even though it was non-smoking.

“I'm used to a bit more upscale hotels. This was an old hotel and has seen better days. It was in a good location.”

“This was a great hotel and the staff was very helpful. They helped with directions to Wrigley Field and other attractions. They also moved us to another room with no questions when we informed them the TV was not working in the first room.”

• For being in the Chicago area, I was completely amazed at the wonderful hospitality that we were given!
• It is kind of hidden behind other businesses making it a little more difficult to locate.

“After being treated very poorly at another hotel, I arrived at the LaQuinta Inn and was treated with unbelievable respect and hospitality! The young lady at the front desk (Michelle) was very warm and friendly to me and my children. Not knowing that we had just had a bad experience at another hotel (just 2 blocks away) she went above and beyond our expectations, turning a very bad day into a very good one! I have stayed at LaQuinta Inns before and I must say they are doing very well in my book! Probably 1st choice from here on!”

• Excellent firm beds, breakfast items every morning USA Today paper daily. Walking distance to restaurants.
• Minor construction, no biggie though. one vending machine on my floor did not work. again no biggie.

• The breakfast was really a surprise. Waffles? WOW. The rooms were very clean as was the rest of the inn. Staff was friendly and helpful.
• The elevator door closed too fast.

• Very convenient access to freeways to get to airport or downtown Chicago.
• Need better signage to locate it first time.

“The location was great for first timers like us in Chicago area as far as safe neighborhood. Convenient to restaurants shopping and easy access to freeways.”

• It felt very home like, right down to the driveway pulling into the front lobby.
• The room could have been a little bigger.

“We were in town for a business seminar, which was at a different, much more expensive hotel. We chose this hotel, because of the cost savings. We were not in the room much. Plus, it was nice and quaint and the staff was very helpful. We will be back for sure, and when I'm traveling, I will look for a La Quinta.”

• Location and price.
• Cheap Continental breakfast with cardboard food and bad coffee.

“The hotel, location and room were fine, but we were placed by the elevator and ice machine. Fortunately there was no traffic to keep us awake all night. Food quality for breakfast was poor. Why use powdered creamer? We had asked about a local restaurant that we knew served breakfast and received directions to the location just a block or two away, but it had been closed for several months. How could the staff not know?”
