• Close to express way and restaurants.
• The breakfast was not what I have had at other hotel.

“I was disappointed the way my room was clean, one time I came back about 4:00 pm and my room was not touch. Then the last night I stay we came back and the bed was not mad up the same towels was still their. I went to the desk and the manger was very rule. I was so upset we check out at 12:00 am.”

• The desk clerk was friendly.
• The room was in poor condition.

“We reserved 2 rooms. One was not prepared. The lamp shade was torn in my room. The maintenance on the facility was not great.”

• Price.
• Very dingy. Needs updating, carpets stained, etc.

“Farther away from destination than I had planned. Only fast food restaurants near by. Hotel looked worn out, not very inviting. Carpet in room was stained. Toilet tank leaked into the toilet bowl, making a trickling sound thru the night. Staff was very nice! Continental breakfast average. I would not stay here again based on appearance and location.”

“I feared for my life in this hotel, as well as the safety of my car. Thank goodness nothing happened, but I would definitely NEVER stay here again. Drug dealers and deals all over the premises. I strongly suggest this property be removed from your list.”

• The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the room was spacious.
• There was no pool and its location was hard to get to (tucked back behind vacant buildings).

“Overall, for our purpose of travel, this hotel suited us just fine. It was close enough to the main highways which made it easy to get around the city. If we had stayed longer I probably would have liked a pool though. The staff was incredibly friendly!”

“While I don't have high expectations for a one-star hotel, I still expect it to be in a decent neighborhood. Unfortunately, this hotel did not appear to be. I was only blocks from public housing. Since I work with low-income people for a living, my uneasiness was based not on the unknown, but the known. Anyway, nothing bad happened. The room and lobby area were in fair condition. There was a whole in the bathtub, but that didn't affect anything. The facility was basically clean, but not like anything in a better-quality hotel. The hotel would have been fine for a one-star in a different neighborhood.”

“They tried to burn me with extra charges which almost equaled the cost of the room. No restaurant, poor vending machines and limited dining in area.”

“This LaQuinta Inn gave me a low quality room. I had to call and haggle with the person at the desk to get a nonsmoking room. And then the room that I got smelled musty.”

• It was conveniently located for us. Laundry facilities were nice.
• Poorly managed, not kept clean. Not kept in good repair.

“The shower head in our bathroom was shooting water across the room; it took 4 days to get it fixed. The smoke alarm outside our room was beeping to signify "low battery". It took 4 days to get that fixed. There was a complete power failure at the motel, one evening, and our building was plunged into complete darkness. And no phones. Everything was silent. I waited in my room for almost an hour, afraid to go out of my room. I was never given any notice of what had happened or that everything was okay. When the lights came back on I went down to the desk to find out why I hadn't been informed. I was told that they "didn't want to alarm everyone¿. It was more alarming having to sit in a dark room not knowing what was going on. Also, we were there for a week and did not ask housekeeping to come in until halfway through our stay. They didn't even vacuum the room. One evening there was a snow storm. The next morning, the lobby was still covered with dirty footprints and soppy puddles of snow. The same dirt and puddles from the night before. No attempt had been made to clean that floor. "Mistakenly" charged us. It wasn't even the correct amount of our stay if it truly was a "mistake".”

• Breakfast was satisfactory.
• We were extremely disappointed with the overall quality of the hotel.

“The mattress reminded me of a mattress that I had recently thrown away. The only difference was that mine was 40 years old, and in much better condition than the one on the king size bed in this room. The bathtub didn't have anything to hold on to, and we considered it dangerous to use. Soundproofing was bad. People were stomping above our room at 3:00 a.m. Children were running up and down the halls late at night.”

• The gentleman at the front desk when we arrived was very nice and helpful!
• Our non smoking room reeked of smoke and there were 3 ash trays in the room.

“The front desk clerk on duty when we arrived was great! Very helpful and courteous. Our room was non smoking and reeked of smoke. There were also 3 ash trays in the non smoking room. It was so bad that it made me sick to my stomach. The general lobby was very nice. Great breakfast. Hard to find the hotel as there is no sign and it is hidden behind kick.”

• Location was good.
• Room wasn't very clean,staff did not return to clean rm when I reported it.

“I had stayed in this motel when it was under the previous management, and this time, there was a difference. The room was half cleaned, garbage still in the garbage can, the bathroom shower curtain had mildew on it. There was trash behind the recliner, so I know they didn't vacuum very well. On the second day of my stay, I had left a note on the door to inform the hotel maids about the garbage that had been left in the trash can. This was at noon. When I returned at 3pm, the room had not been cleaned at all. I notified the desk and they told me that the staff had already left, and wanted to know if I had a "Do not Disturb" sign on my door. I told her that I did have it on the door when I was in the room, and when I left the room,the cleaning staff was just down the hall in another room cleaning and I actually had to pass the room to get into the elevator. The bottom line is, there should have been a system in place that the staff used (check list of the rooms) to make sure that all of the rooms had been cleaned. This is the first time this had happened to me. I don't plan on staying there in the future.”
