• Common areas were lovely.
• The damaged furniture.

“The first thing I saw as I entered the room was a terribly damaged desk. It has water rings and looked like someone had deliberately scratched the surface with something that had removed the veneer. The next thing was a large stain in the middle of the carpet. We noticed a wire sticking out of the table between the beds, but it had no purpose because nothing was attached to it. The beds are very small. The wallpaper was cut and peeling in several areas. And the hairdryer had a broken power switch. The bathtub was dirty around the drain. However, the beds were very comfortable and the linens were wonderful. The floor plan is nice. If this room were cleaned and repaired, it could be wonderful. The ice machine did not work well. Getting a cup of ice was an ordeal. Overall, the hotel was kind of disappointing.”

• They have the hot tub/Jacuzzi working again loved that! When I was there last it wasn't. I like my room the set up and the bed is so comfortable. A+
• I wish my room was sound proof. They do a lot of functions here like weddings and there is always noise from people coming up when they stop serving.

• Location.
• General decor was very shabby.

“The hotel seems to be quite seedy and not worthy of 3.5 stars or the Hyatt name. The carpet was shabby and smelly. The bed though was very comfortable.”

• The room was immaculate; the staff were amenable and helpful.
• They charge $4.00 for a bottle of water!

“Our experience at the hotel was in general, quite positive. We were in the city to attend a wedding, and many other wedding guests also stayed at the hotel. The price was wonderful for our purposes, and the staff were very polite; they were willing to help us find our way around and even printed out directions to the location for the wedding. Very nice!”

• The beauty of the room & location were key for me. Very nice place.
• I didn't feel the room I stayed in (403) was very clean. The tub, bathroom and the towels were not as clean as I would have liked. Vending machine didn't work.

• Good workout equipment.
• I had to pay for internet access and for a microwave it would have been $25.

“This hotel is NOT a 3 1/2 star hotel. There are no vending machines which dispense sweet treats, there are no amenities in the rooms like refrigerators or microwaves.”

• Love the beds and the room layout. Room with king size bed is divided into a sitting area and the bed area. Beds and linens are wonderful.
• The desks never seem to be wiped down (food remains, etc.).

“Service is wonderful and the hotel is quite attractive, but it seems like some things aren't in as good repair as you would expect for a Hyatt (e.g., elevator carpet, bathroom fixtures).”

• We had trouble with our fire alarm chirping when we first walked in and the sink. Someone from maintenance and the hotel manager came immed. to ck.
• While some members of staff were extremely friendly (i.e. maintenance, front desk) others were not (manager, restaurant staff).

“Our room was nice and spacious. While we didn't use the exercise room or pool, we did go to see them and those swimming in the pool said that it was warm but heavily had heavy chlorine. I would definitely stay at the hotel again as the good far outweighed the few negatives.”

• Very nice rooms, clean good service.
• The hotel was
  extremely noisy every night. The walls were paper thin!

“The hotel was well-appointed and well kept. The staff was very polite and responsive. The rooms were lovely but very crowded with 2 double beds. Both beds were squeezed up against the wall-literally! The walls must be made of paper because it was the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. With the rate we got through Priceline I'd stay again but not for a higher rate.”

• Very large rooms with sleeper sofa.
• Long way from entrance to elevator ( minor inconvenience).

“I stayed at 2 hotels on this trip and this review was about the Hyatt which we liked much better than the Marriott although the Marriott was satisfactory for our needs.”

• Good location, easy to get to.
• Not quite up to our expectations for Hilton, needs to be refurbished.

“While it is a nice hotel it does need some upgrading and the pool area needs work, kind of dirty and pool area is very slippery.”
