“The best if you must stay in Altamont. Clean rooms, but dated. Dining is non existent. Despite a restaurant next door- if you can call it that - it used to be better but now is dark, smoky and empty. I don't recall a mini-fridge or microwave in room. Breakfast is a joke. It is free, but store bought donuts and concentrated OJ - not cold, plus the usual coffee and power creamer. All rooms face the interstate so noisy, no elevator for wheelchair people, only one set of connecting rooms on ground floor. Room keys are now smart cards, and upgraded A/C systems. Owners live on property in house near by yet teenager staff at night. Housekeeping by old local ladies, while nice, not professional. Go down the road for Effingham and by all means avoid Knights Inn across the street that place has not been upgraded in over 10 years.”
