“All in all this was a great place to stay. They allowed us to keep our small dog even as they were not pet friendly. They were very nice to us and the housekeepers attended to every request, even gave us a pad to place under our kennel.”

• I didn't like it. When we got to the room the floors were wet. It was loud outside.
• There were holes in the wall. It was not a nice hotel like it stated.

• Easy to get to and places to get to.
• Man in hallway yelling nothing was done about it.

• Room phones inoperative. Missing appliances. Generally poor maintenance.

• Filthy/ mold in tubs/drunk clerks/ slummy.

“This hotel is dirty, filthy, and un-kept it should be closed down, cleaned and sanitized the person at check in was obviously loaded when you stay here you feel like you are in a slummy advice "Dont go to this motel"”

• Staff was helpful once problems started.
• No hot water for 2 days.

“AWFUL, public spaces under construction. Room had filthy carpet, maid service was poor. Worst was NO HOT WATER FOR 2 DAYS. Hotel was not proactive in trying to relocate me to a room with hot water, although upon my request they did accommodate me. I think I deserve a partial refund.”

• I only had to stay there for eight (8) Hours!
• The room was very dirty, it smelled very bad, and there were people hanging out in the parking lot. I did not feel safe at all!

“I would much rather pay more for one night than to stay there again. It was very dirty, it smelled bad, and they had roaches in the room. Two years after Katrina this hotel should not be like this! I have stayed at many Hotels since the storm and none of them were like this. Thank God I won't have to go back!”

• Very convenient to casinos, shopping, highway. Very nice staff.
• Roaches all over our room and in the sink and tub drains.

• Excellent staff, family friendly, easy access to beaches, casinos, restaurants. Nice all around place to stay.
• Shower faucets were rusted, but clean and functional. Refrigerator was loud, but functional.

“Family and I enjoyed our stay. Will stay there again without hesitation. Nice for the price, easy access to all services, including surrounding cities and airport. Highly recommended as a basically clean and friendly place to stay.”

“Kind of scary when you pull up to the front office and someone is parking their car in front of the lobby because it was broke into. I guess the two older heavy set gentlemen were not much for security.”

• Cheap!
• Loud music playing into the night, still a ;lot of construction!

“The hotel was very basic, still trying to recover from Katrina- two years later! Continental breakfast was worthless, McDonalds is down the road! If you are looking for cheap this is the place, I think most of the people staying there were long term guests who are working on the coast!”

• Staff and manager were excellent; solved our problem in first room.
• Only cornflakes as a cereal. The pool was dirty and baby pool was green.

“Nice rooms; had some maintenance problems but they moved us. Good location and everyone was very nice. Beach directly across the street. They do need an experience pool man.”

• The staff was friendly. The hotel was located on the beach.
• It was not modern. Nonsmoking room that smelled like smoke.

“Was not pleased with hotel. Could only use shower bath tub did not work. Bathroom had mold on walls. No iron board, had to go to front desk to get iron. Will not recommend Super 8 hotel to friends. Thank You.”

• Overall cleanliness of the hotel was poor. No pride in their product.

• The shower pressure was low and shower head barely worked.

• Most of the staff was friendly. Breakfast included.
• Room and pool not clean. Kids pool was filthy. Toilet seat broken, never repaired.

“I would not stay again. The shower in the room was moldy. The toilet seat was broken and not repaired for the 3 nights we were there after staff notified. The pool area was not clean and the kid's pool was filthy. One of the rooms in the building next to us had a fire one night, so the fire trucks kept us up late. Next time, I will spend a few more dollars for a nicer place.”
