“This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. It smells the carpets in the halls and rooms are dirty and stained. The walls in the room were stained and very dirty. The bath rooms are not clean and looks very ran down. The window air conditioner was very loud.”

“My experience was not bad for one night. But there was no holder for the toilet paper in the bathroom, and the tub drain was incredibly slow. The tub filled as I showered. Otherwise, the room was adequate for one night for the price.”

“I would never recommend this place to anyone. The room was dirty, linens smelled of sweat, curtains were coming down, the sink faucet ran constantly and couldn't be turned off. The walls were pulling away from the tile in the bathroom. There was no smoke alarm - only the wires in the ceiling of the room. The security camera outside the elevator was hanging down the wall by its wires.”

“Overall the Room could have lots of improvements bad smell, dirty, half of the stuff did not work like the toilet (full of cigarettes, toilet paper, and sorry for saying this: "full of crap" making the room stink), or the bathtub would not drain, elevator looked that it needed some maintenance done, staff not to friendly, a total bad experience for one night.”

“This hotel would be for someone who had no other choice. I left after being there for one hour. My everything was worn out and the hotel smelled musty. The lamp shade in the room was bent and the microwave had two of its supports missing. It was hanging half off of the table it was sitting on. There is nothing to recommend this hotel. Avoid it.”

“This hotel did not meet my expectation. I have stayed at other Travelodge that was far better than this one. I felt I was in an apartment building setting and not a hotel setting. I didn't want to take a shower because the tub didn't look clean and the linen (sheets and comforter) also didn't look clean. I had to request another comforter because the one that was on the bed had stains on it. I would not recommend this hotel to a bum on the streets.”

“I would not stay here again. I work in hospitality industry and this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.Corridors smelled like animals and cigarette smoke. Noisy guests in floor above me kept me awake the first night.”

“I've stayed in nicer hotels. Location is good, but it really needs to be gutted and totally revamped.”

“Appears to be hotel that was nice but has lots of deferred maintenance and below average on cleanliness.”

“The hotel said they "allowed pets"; but nothing was said that they charge $10 per night/per pet. That was an unexpected $60. We were suppose to have a refrigerator and had to argue with the desk to get one. They finally brought one. They were nice after that. There seemed to be a lot of "bad traffic" in the parking lot; but Rockford Police weren't helping to enforce.”

“My stay at this hotel was very disappointing given that the rating indicated it was a moderate hotel. Instead of just having the basics and being clean it was very dirty, hard to find (due to the hotel sign not being lit up at night), and generally uncomfortable.”

“This is the dirtiest, dingiest hotel I have ever seen. We did not want to put our feet in the sheets, they smelled so bad! My husband and I were scared for our children¿s safety, there were sirens going off all night. We had to pay $25 more dollars when we arrived to get 2 beds in the room, it was absolutely ridiculous.”

“This hotel was awful. Based on this experience, I will never stay at Travel lodge again, It was neither a good deal nor a good night's sleep. My husband went to the workout room in the morning and EVERY machine was broken. He then went to the general use bathroom by the pool and said it had not been cleaned in weeks. The hotel staff was laughing about our complaints and requests. I wished I had shower shoes to use in the moldy shower, but it didn't drain anyway. Ugh. I could go on...”

“Our family was sorely distraught at having to stay at the Travelogue. The hotel was nothing less than disgusting and should be gutted. The halls stunk. Pealing paint. Curtains askew. Bugs in light fixtures. Nobody cared, was our impression. Our children (13-20) were appalled, especially after finding a used needle on the lawn. The police had been called about drugs in the hotel. Everything about the hotel had "foreclosure" written all over it. ”

“This was the nastiest hotel in which I have ever stayed. It was poorly kept, filthy and smelled bad. The bathroom floor was sticky, the towels were dirty, the carpet was unpleasant on bare feet, the tub & sink were dirty and stained, as were the chairs and bedspread. I slept in my clothes so I didn't expose any more skin than necessary in the bed. There was dirt in every crevice & there were curtains hanging in tatters in the hallway. While I didn't expect many amenities for two stars, I did expect cleanliness. ”

“Scary, very scary! This hotel had graffiti in the barely stable elevator, parties all night, a family living room in the lobby. I found a pop tart on the floor in my room. Didn't dare use the shower, and slept with our clothes and shoes on, laying towels over the bedding. Completely filthy, and I am not all that picky, it should be condemned!”

“I was very disappointed in the hotel. The room was dirty. The overall building was below standard for the quality expected. The hotel offered a cheaper rate than I paid on line on their sign. The clean staff did a poor job of cleaning. I would recommend that you remove it from your listing of places to stay.”
