“For the cost, it was ok. Lady at the check in was extremely nice. Even changed our room for a one bed smoking to two bed now smoking with out our asking. But didn't tell us that our keycard would get us into the hotel next doors pool and better breakfast!”

  • I loved the lady at the front desk.
  • Doors did not open we had to stay out side in below zero weather trying to get n.

“The lady at the front desk was very friendly. They were having problem with the doors, we had to stay out side while trying to get the doors open. Then finally went back into the lobby until they found a door that would open.”

  • Nothing.
  • Everything.

“This as a few other hotels occasionally doesnt meet guidelines for quality, etc. This is one of those properties. This hotel should be removed from the pool of hotels before more people get taken advantage of. The hotel is grossly dated in maintenance, cleanliness, safety and other basic hotel functions.”

  • The price was great.
  • It was one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed in.

“This hotel is at the low end of the hotel food chain. The staff was friendly and great. The rooms were adequate but very, very dirty. Even though the maids cleaned the room every day there was dirt behind the bathroom door and bugs in the room. The sink barely drained.”

  • I liked the location, although this does not necessarily reflect on the hotel itself.
  • Where do I start - there's not enough room in 20 words.

“Absolutely horrendous. If I could have chosen "0" stars, I would have. To begin, their rooms smelled so strongly of smoke that we had to open the window all night because it almost gave my wife an asthma attack. Seriously, you couldn't breathe in there; I'm not exaggerating. There were no non-smoking rooms available. Then, when we pulled down our sheets, we found a bloody Kleenex under the covers. This told me with a certainty that the linen had not been changed. When we asked the front desk for fresh linen, the man said they do not have any extra linen; they only have enough for every room. Luckily they were not completely booked (although I don't wonder why) because the man was able to get linen from a vacant room. This made me seriously question the cleanliness of the hotel. In addition to this, there was a yellow ring in the toilet and the water inside was filthy. I've stayed in my share of hotels and have never seen anything like this before. Clearly, they had not cleaned it for some time. There was also soap scum on the shower wall, which told me that the shower had also not been cleaned (yes, this was soap scum, not a cleaning product). Then, a few minutes before 9 a.m. (check out time wasn't until 11 a.m.), housekeeping was banging at my door so loudly I thought someone was trying to break in (yes, the hotel looked like a crack-head hotel and this was a reasonable thought. Not long after we got there, at least 6 police cars were outside arresting somebody who was staying there who was clearly on drugs). So, anyway, I was woken up before 9 a.m. on a Saturday by housekeeping, which was then back again before 10:30 to harass us about getting out. The breakfast was even more ridiculous. There was no dining area to eat at; everything was simply sitting on a small shelf in the corner next to the front registration desk, and nothing was packaged.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[9] • Location:[3]

  • The desk clerk was very helpful.
  • Room was not very clean even a beer bottle cap on the floor. AC was questionable, acted like it had a short in it.

“This hotel is located very close to a Cracker Barrel but nothing else. It is tucked on the back side of another hotel, a little hard to find. The wall hanging in the lobby was filthy. Gave me pause. The location is ok for those traveling that section of interstate but you have to go down blocks and blocks of residential streets to get across town - not the best part of town. I would not rate this a 2-star hotel by any means, and I know not to expect much at the 2-star level - but cleanliness and a functioning AC unit are not negotiable. The AC did work - it was just touchy and kept sort of lurching. If you tried to move the knob at all, it would just quit. My husband repairs home appliances and he knew something wasn't quite right. But we did not mess with changing rooms. We were cool and comfortable for the night. Next time we'll pick our own hotel though.”

  • The staff wase nice.
  • I stayed for three days. Each night when I returned to my room, my card keys had stopped working.

“The room was reasonably comfortable and spacious but the hotel was inconveniently located in the nastiest part of town. Being locked out of my room every evening was outrageous. I traveled a long distance each day and when I returned I was exhausted. I did not like having to go to the office every night to get new keys made. I would go to a lot of trouble to avoid ever staying there again.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[2] • Location:[5]

  • Absolutely nothing.
  • Very dirty. A really nasty place no worthy of even one star!

“This is a dirty grungy motel. I would never stay there again. Obviously used by people with pets only. We ended up in a smoking room even though I requested a non-smoking room. The shower curtain was moldy and smelled bad. I would like to have taken a bath, but I don't think the tub has been cleaned in some time. Outside of motel was very dirty. Different stains were visible on the sidewalks and stairs leading to room. Blood, ketchup? Who knows.”

  • It was pretty run down.

“The hotel fit our needs; we were just staying one night. I do not think that I would choose it for a stay of any longer than 1 day. The staff was very courteous. It is very close to a number of restaurants. So you have a good selection of eating places nearby.”

  • Nothing.
  • They didn't have our reservations for two days.

“I booked this hotel for my employee to begin on November 11. I told the employee to verify the reservation on the 10th and he went to the hotel. The employee was told that they had no reservation for Noel Burke or Donald Tippie. He went back on the 11th. Still no reservation. He stayed at an adjacent Hotel. Finally I went to the hotel on November 13( a drive of two hours one way), the desk clerk apologized for the problems and agreed to give us two extra nights. I agreed and began check in. Upon completion of check in, I asked about the two extra nights. The clerk would not honor the additional nights. Please call Noel Burke at 708-258-3309 for I will be refusing to pay these charges on my credit card”

  • Close to the interstate, great staff...
  • Old water damage in bathroom was a little disconcerting.

“This was a decent hotel, for the price and time of year. The staff that we encountered were nice and friendly. The room was adequate for the one-night stay. We were in a safe, non-stressful environment. Good choice for the $$.”
