• The room was very clean and had the assets that I wanted.
• The shower head in our bathroom didn't have enough pressure for my liking.

“This was a fantastic hotel. We had the whirlpool suite and it was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to get away for a weekend.”

It started when I called from Madison, asking for directions, and they told me to go the wrong way. An hour later (I had called when I was apparently only about 10 miles away) we finally arrived.



When they gave us our room keys, they motioned around the corner and told us we were X doors in. So we thanked them and went that way. Our keys said we were on the second floor. Not seeing an elevator around (There IS no elevator in this hotel) we went back towards the desk and the woman said, "We saw you go that way..." and she laughed. Gee. I would have thought they might have... maybe... said something to us to let us know we were going the wrong way?



We had to uncover and cover up the whirlpool ourselves, and when I went to the front desk to ask about towels, the young man pointed out one towel sitting on the counter. He looked at me and said, "I suppose you need more than one." Since there were more than one of us using the whirlpool, I said yes, and he sighed and rolled his eyes.



I called for an early wake up call, and they said no problem. Of course it was no problem, because they had no intention of doing it! I never received a wake-up call. When I told them at the front desk the next morning, they looked it up and said nothing was written down. Thank God for cell phones with alarms. So I checked to make sure they had our late check out recorded. They did not.



Their "deluxe" breakfast was less than - I had stayed in a Comfort Inn in Green Bay the night before, and their "ordinary" breakfast was much more deluxe than Stoughton's.



As far as I could tell, their fitness room was a conference room filled with tables for the continental breakfast, with one treadmill and stationary bike against the wall.



Sorry - some of these things seem trivial, but put together, I really disliked this place. The staff SEEMED to have nice attitudes, but were very unhelpful.



It was clean, though.
