  • The hotel was packed with young noisy people there for some convention.

“The carpet in room was stained, the comforters were lumpy and the room smelled like they sprayed something to cover an odor.”

  • Location was not downtown.

“The hotel was nice.”

  • Front desk staff was great.
  • Pool was too cold.

“Nice place to stay.”

  • The staff is the greatest.
  • Would have used a larger pool.

“Though a short distance from downtown, the cheerfulness of the staff and their willingness to help with all concerns made up for the short distance.”

  • Good location, comfortable room, good service.
  • The breakfast buffet food was utterly tasteless and I am not a picky eater.

“Good location, nice, clean, large rooms, great windows that open so you can enjoy the crisp fresh air of a Wisconsin fall!”

  • The free shuttle provided to and fro to any place in the hotel is excellent although not always available
  • The faraway location and inaccessibility of the hotel in general

“This is a premier hotel for sure. The room is big, service up to standard and everything is clean. There is even free internet service at the lobby although not in the room. I am delighted with the shuttle service which readily extend its service even after I had checked out of the hotel for one more time. It is, however, quite troublesome in having no means of transportation when the shuttle bus is fully booked for the day especially since the public bus service going to hotel do not operate pass 7PM”

  • The staff was very friendly and accommodating
  • The air conditioner in the room was too loud

“Incredible value, the staff was great to deal with and the hotel was very clean and easy to access.”

  • Beautiful interior.
  • Lobby too perfumy.

“Staff was friendly. Not overly informed. Room service didn't give us towels one day. Each room only has two towels to begin with which is abnormal.”

  • Friendly staff and accommodating shuttle service.
  • Horrible internet, not downtown as indicated, uncomfortable beds, lousy shower.

“This hotel was a major disappointment. The bed was uncomfortable, the linens sub par, and the comforter way to weighty for this time of year. The shower was lousy. The Internet service, for which you had to pay, was so bad as to be essentially nonexistent. Even the connections in the lobby (no business center to speak of) were painfully slow. The hotel was in the middle of nowhere necessitating taking the hotel shuttle (very good to their credit) or having a car. In other words, this hotel was not downtown by any stretch of definition. There were no other establishments, restaurants, or businesses of any kind within walking distance. Whatever money was saved, was more than lost by the extra aggravation of having to shuttle everywhere, no Internet service, lousy food, and the other items mentioned above. All in all of of the most frustrating and unpleasant hotel stays I've had in my frequent (3 weeks a month) travel.”

  • Recreation facilities A+.
  • Floor polishing in the lobby so big an area couldn't get luggage trolley past -
    at 9 am!

“Parking was open/unattended/ungaraged not even a fence. Someone decided refinishing the lobby floor mid-morning was a good idea.
Even if it negated the use of luggage trolleys to travel from the elevator to the desk or front door and spewed white stuff on shoes and other things close to the floor. While the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the parking was free, I am still trying to find out why I was charged an extra $17 after I checked out.”

  • The beds were uncomfortable. Also, no robes provided.

“Rooms are clean, neat and attractive. Beds were not conducive to sleeping. Too soft. Woke up with a severe back ache.”

  • The beds were extremely comfortable.
  • The hallways were not clean, but everything else in the hotel was.

“Attractive facilities, large comfortable rooms, great views.”

  • Clean rooms, friendly staff.
  • It is not downtown. Not at all.

“I have never visited Madison before.
I purchased this hotel because it was supposedly Downtown. It was 3 miles away. I was extremely disappointed in the location. It is pretty much a flat out lie.”

  • Convenient location.
  • Dinner took a long time to get service, although they did apologize and had already served 80 people and short staffed as well.

“Excellent location, clean and friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel to others.”

  • Comfortable room.
  • Could use a little TLC.

“Well located between downtown/University of Wisconsin and the south freeway, and near the arena. Slight dating of hallway decor but rooms are very nice and comfortable.”

  • Accessible with all amenities immediately available

“Great view toward the city; pretty bleak in the rear of the hotel. I would ask to be in a room with a city view.”

“This hotel is located at very proximate distance (within 3 min driving) from a downtown. It has a variety of good quality amenities (restaurant, pool, free Internet cafe, shuttle service, coffee-shop and so on). Unfortunately we had a no-pleasure night when we stayed at hotel. There were a lot of different youth sport events (wrestling, hockey, and swimming) in town and the teens were crazy to running around and screaming in floor at Saturday night (after 11:00PM). The hotel management could not stop the kids. The Hotel staff should be working with coaches and parents to prevent this problem in advance.”

  • The bedding was made out of natural material, it didn't have the standard polyester bedspread.
  • The shower head was too low, I'm 5'4" and I had to duck to rinse. Not comfortable for my 6'6" boyfriend.

“The hotel was beautiful on the inside and the room was clean and comfortable. They didn't have any parking close to the front door and it didn't have any other outside entrances.”

  • Responsive staff, clean room and readily available amenities.

“A pleasant surprise to find such a convenient and quality hotel on gameday in Madison.”

  • Shuttle driver was nice.
  • Front desk could not answere a direct question and then did not bother to get us the next availble suttle. We then had to call down twice.

“Not in town. Staff has worked there to long to know how to make there system not work. Internet access should be available, this was a 3 plus star. Mold should not be ok to see in the shower/tub.”
