• The lobby was freshly remodeled and updated.
• Since the lobby is so nice, I thought the rooms would be better then they were.

“New bedspreads or wash them. Carpet, clean the carpets.”

• The heater worked in the room.
• The electrical outlets by the bed did not work with my medical equipment.

“This was a poor representation of the hojo brand. When we checked in because of storm damage to our house we were told that they had just restored power to the hotel and they could not give us a key to our room. That¿s fine we did not plan on leavening that night the staff also informed us that there was no TV in the room. Ok fine me ca live with that I want to sleep. I then plugged in a cpap machine to the plug in the wall behind the beds and it would not work, the light works but not the machine. I then tried it in the bathroom outlet and it worked fine so I know it was not my machine. Ok fine I am tired and I will live with this and moved the kids who were asleep to the other bed so I can sleep with my head by the bathroom door. In the morning I wanted to take a shower but there was no hot water. The front desk said it was because of the storm but they did not tell me this up front. ”

• Not one thing comes to mind, you should remove it from your list.
• Everything.

“The staff did not even know what was going on from what they had posted on their own board, floor in bath had too many cracks in tile to count, pillows were like Jello. Junk in courtyard, smelled so bad had to get air freshener.”

• They let me change rooms when my first room wasn't clean.
• Very dirty.

“I was very disappointed with the level of cleanliness at this hotel. For the price I was quoted, I expected at the very least cleanliness. However, they did let me switch rooms when I was unhappy, but the 2nd room wasn't much better.”

• Staff were helpful with finding local attractions.
• Restaurant/bar shown on website did not exist; place filthy in general.

“I was very displeased with the hotel overall. The quality of the place did not match the description or pictures shown on your website. It was in the middle of nowhere, difficult to find, looked abandoned when we arrived, and went downhill from there.”

• Check in was quick and courteous at 1 a.m.
• Outdoor walk entrance and walkway.

“For a one star this hotel was nice, with spacious room and nice staff but bathroom not as clean as I would have liked.”

• It was close to the fairgrounds, clean and had friendly staff.
• Could have been closer to restaurant, seemed to be isolated.

“The hotel was close to the fair grounds, it did seem a bit isolated as to nearby restaurants though. Our room was clean, the area safe and the staff friendly. Seems like a good deal for the price.”

• Nothing - was a disgrace.
• Can't describe in less than 20 words.

“Room was left open on two different days. Never cleaned room. Made bed and left. dirty and was in real poor condition. I can't believe the room rate was as high as it was. The regular rate was 74.00 plus tax. To get this at 72.00 was not a savings by any means. I would have checked out the first day but I had no recourse since it was threw. I will not use your service for hotels in the future. This is the second time I have done so and was totally disappointed. Jan Kern”

• The Continental breakfast.
• The poor up keep of the room, and a constant reminding staff to put in enough towels to accommodate guest in the room.

“The hotel staff was very accommodating with information on activities and sites. However, the rooms were not clean well, the furniture was falling apart, the heating unit didn't work properly, and the cabinet that surrounded it was held together by a chair that was station next to it. I was very displeased with this hotel and more likely than not to stay in another Howard Johnson Hotel again.”

• The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was really good and had a good selection of food.
• The beds were old, hard, and bumpy. Price to much for room that we got. Could have gotten a cheaper room that was just a nice of room.

“We believed that the hotel had an indoor pool as well as a nice restaurant and there was none. The rooms also could have been a lot nicer for the price that we paid.”

• The continental breakfast was fresh and tasty.
• The outside doors were difficult to close and the maid left one open.

“Nice basic comfortable motel. Does not remind me of Howard Johnson's from the past. Right across the street from Lincoln's tomb. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Nice food. Not right near much traffic, so quiet.”

• It took a while for the room to warm up.

• It was located conveniently close to the hospital where we were receiving treatment. Continental breakfast was appreciated.
• Did not seem to be many customers.

“The motel was convenient to the medical complex. It was clean and comfortable. It was located so that road noise was not a problem. We would definitely stay again.”
