  • Nice breakfast.
  • My property was stolen!

“The first room we were sent to had not been touched by housekeeping, unmade beds, the whole works. Worse, though, was the fact that the day after checkout I discovered that I had left my wallet in the room, and I contacted the front desk and asked them to retrieve it. I called a second time and was told I would be contacted. Never happened, even though I offered a reward for the safe return of my things. I cancelled all of my cards that day, but not before someone used my credit card at a nearby gas station. I contacted Days Inn Corporate and was told they had made the licensee aware of the problem and that they expected him to resolve the issue. Now, over a month later, I receive my wallet in the mail, in a grubby old Quaker Grits box, sent COD from Days Inn Lakeland. Everything was intact down to the receipts I had in there except the missing card. There was a piece of paper with a woman's name and address: I assume that this was where I should send the reward? I guess it's possible that maybe a guest came in after me and found my wallet in the place I left it (where one would have to grope to discover it), took one card, and left the rest intact, but it's interesting that the very day I called and told the staff exactly where my wallet would be found, my card was used in a nearby town. The wallet was returned once everything was cancelled and useless. I never once heard from Mr. Patel, the owner/operator. If trust and safety are important to you, stay away.”
