  • Check in was very convenient and quick.
  • There was a group of teenagers allowed to drink and make noise in the parking lot!

“It met the requirements of my needs at the time.”

  • We were able to leave.
  • It cost's an additional fee for leaving early.

“We intended on putting some money into the local economy as it was hurricane Katrina's 2nd anniversary. We reserved the room for 3 nights and left after the first, we were charged a fee for early checkout. The carpeting, bedspread and sofa were filthy! There was no bath mat or clock but there was a lot noise from other rooms and parking lot till early morning. I did not dare turn on the lights at night for fear of seeing cockroaches! We traveled an hour west to Denham Springs and stayed at the Best Western for the remainder of the weekend where it cost less $ and they had more amenities!”

  • The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable.
  • No cold water pool was inoperable outside was not up kept.

“The only good thing about the hotel was that the staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. We requested a non smoking room and were put in a smoking room. The room was clean for the most part except for the stains on the carpet. We did not have cold water we had to brush our teeth with warm water. The pool was closed with a tarp and cinderblocks and the outside was not up kept well. This hotel was certainly not worth and if anyone is going on vacation to Slidell we do not recommend you stay here!”

  • Close to 1-10.
  • Lack of concern from hotel management.

“This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at ever! The door to our room locked but there was a big gap between the door and the door jam. It was not as secure as it should be. If I pulled on the door handle it was very loose. We pushed the table in front of the door to make it be more secure. At 12:55 am some strange guys tried to bust the door in and scared us to death! We had to push on the door so that these crazy criminals whoever it was also tried to kick the door to the room next to ours. I reported it to the hotel management but they didn't seem to care. The telephone in the room did have a dial tone but when I tried to call for help it wouldn't dial out. Pretty important to have a working phone in the hotel room especially when someone is trying to break in! The sheets and comforter were filthy! The carpet was dirty and the fridge leaked water all over the floor. There were no towels or soap. Two of the lamps didn't have lampshades. The phone in the room did not work which is pretty important when some crazy criminals are trying to break in the room. Next time I go to any hotel, I will make sure that the phone works and the door locks securely. If it doesn't, I request another room or check out. It isn't worth risking my life or my family's life to ignore warning signs like these. Next time I will listen to what my gut instinct is trying to tell me. It's usually right.”

  • Price, adequate, clean.
  • Ad said suite. No suite.

“Economical, clean, adequate, basic. What was described as a suite was not. We could hear activity in adjacent rooms. I would consider staying a gain with price being main determinant.”

  • The location was ok. The room was acceptable.
  • It wasnt very clean and needed some repairs.

“Ok for the money, I wouldn't recommend it at a normal rate. It served us ok, but all we really did was sleep there. There were a lot of places to eat and stores, etc. Real close. They had a pool but it wasn't operational. The parking was inadequate. For the money, it was aright.”

  • There was a key to the door.
  • This room was the worst.

“The room had no coffee pot, no hair dryer; no light over the mirror at the bathroom sink, no trash can in the bathroom. No plug in the bath room if you took your own hair dryer. The keyhole was taped on the door. The ceiling light had been removed, the wires were visible. The lamp shades were torn and the inside lining was torn; they were fastened to the lamp. The sheets had holes and the bedspreads had cigarette burns in them. It was impossible for my husband to see to shave. I spoke with management and they didn't seem to care.”
