“From the outside it looked good. Landscaped, etc. When we walked in the door our jaws dropped. I wouldn't call it dirty (though that is how my husband described it). I would call it dingy, run-down.”

“This motel needs to be rated as a 1 star only. This is the poorest we've stayed in.”

“The room had a horrible cheap cigar odor to it, our clothes and luggage smelled terrible after we left. Was even difficult to breathe in the room. Thought we'd get used to it, but woke up the next morning and it was just as bad. Multiple stains on the walls and carpet, cobwebs in the corners of the room. Was not a 2 star hotel! Hotel looks decent on the outside, but it was misleading, rooms were very dated on the inside. Stay away from this hotel.”

“Room very small, mini fridge with no ice. No tub shower only. Did enjoy full cable TV and the staff was very helpful and friendly with any request we made.”

“Suburban extended stay in Memphis, TN was not only the worst hotel that I've stayed at in quite sometime but the staff was argumentative and did not want to help at all to make me happy & I'm the customer. Overall, I will never stay at one ever again.”

“This hotel was horrible, I wouldn't let my dog stay in the hotel. Horrible. The bed had a cigarette burn hole in the comforter. The chairs were stained with who knows what.”

“They were unwilling to give us a non-smoking room unless we downgraded to one full bed. When we got to the room it was in shambles with no sheets on the bed and trash everywhere. And when they gave us a new room (which was also supposed to be non-smoking) it had a terrible cigarette smell and had clearly been smoked in. Also, the AC was broken so that it was stuck on the coldest setting at full speed making the room freezing cold. All of this was difficult when traveling with a 5 month-old baby. Finally, despite the fact that Bartlett looks like a nice place to stay, the hotel was so far out of the way that it was in an area that was not so nice and we didn't feel safe. I wish I could say something positive, but there is simply nothing to say.”

“Suburban Inn was horrible. The office reeked of smoke, had filth and sticky substances on the counter during check-in. The employees were not professional nor had uniforms on to easily recognize they were employees. The room should have been condemned by the Centers for Disease Control. The shower was disgusting, who knows when it last really got clean. The lamp shades had stains on them. The lamp Shades! It was an odd brown/red stain. The blinds were coated in nastiness. The furniture, bed, amenities looked as though they were pulled out of San Ford and Son's junkyard. Do not stay at the anything named or owned by Suburban Extended Stays!”

“Once I got to the hotel (after driving a lot out of the way) the staff were courteous and tried to make it as comfortable as possible but it was still not a 2 star hotel. The beds were musty and the room I stayed in had some lovely surprises in the fridge.”

“It is convenient to wolf chase mall and eating facilities. The window unit air conditioner and bugs were the chief complaints. I bought bug killer and sprayed around our beds and the windows.”

“If you like to be left alone and you do not mind a hotel that is somewhat less clean than your average Holiday Inn, then this might be the place for you. The service at the hotel was rather poor, but the intent access, the microwave, mini fridge, and kitchenette might be good for business travelers who plan on staying for a while. The location was good for those who were planning on shopping or visiting relatives in the Cordovan or Bartlett area, but pretty far from downtown and Midtown. Overall, we did not like it much. They told us we had a queen sized bed and it wasn't. The towels were too small and the room was just not right for a married couple visiting relatives in the East Memphis area. We would go back there.”

“ When I got in the room there were no face towels or trash cans. I called to the office but the items never came. The bed was not in good condition, it kept falling off the railing and the mattress was worn out. I also later discovered that the remote for the TV was missing. We had to change the channel by hand, can you imagine that with over 40 channels trying to find something on TV.”
