• Beds were great.
• Key cards didn't always work. Pool smelled!

“The hotel was pretty nice. But sometimes our keycards didn't work at the side door and for the room. Also. We didn't want people making our beds; we just wanted them to give us enough towels and to clean the bathroom each day. And they couldn't seem to understand that because they ALL spoke Spanish. ALSO. We never had enough toilet paper because they only would give us a 1/2 roll. What's up with that!”

• Nothing the hotel was a joke in service.
• They charged my account because they said that they smell smoke in the hallway around my room.

“I will never stay at another Fairfield Inn again. I do not recommend it to anyone. How can they say that they smell smoke in the hallway and accused me of it without knocking on the door or anything. They just charge it to my account and I think that was wrong of them to do that without telling me first. I will never stay at another one again.”

• Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
• Pool area was awful. They didn't even have chairs by the pool.

“For being a Marriott owned motel, I was very disappointed by the fact the pool was not nice or well cared for and there was not even one chair set out by the pool. It was 96 degrees outside! Not one chair for the pool. Ridiculous.”

• Free breakfast. Brandon is an excellent employee.
• Bathroom floor in my room was very dirty. Restaurant ran out of coffee @ breakfast time.

“Decent hotel for a reasonable price. Convenient access to highway. Casual dining restaurants within walking distance. Pleasant staff.”

“I was pleased with my stay at the Fairfield Inn Perkins and looking forward to another visit to Memphis this summer. The Fairfield Inn Perkins will be my first choice.”

• The beds are incredibly comfortable.
• They have changed to a complete no-smoking policy since my last visit.

“The hotel is great and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I won't be staying again though because the hotel changed to a no-smoking policy since my last visit (Feb 2006). The penalty for smoking, at all, in the rooms is a $250 clean-up fee. ”

• Very good internet connection, a varied breakfast menu.
• Ice machine on my floor did not work.

“The property was well kept and clean, the bed was comfortable and the wireless internet connection worked well. The breakfast was pretty good considering there isn't a restaurant here.”

• The breakfast was good.
• The gentleman who checked me in the hotel!

“The hotel was ok. It was not anything that was above my expectations. I would stay there again, but not as a first choice. The gentleman who checked me in was not very professional. He asked what I was doing later that night and that made me VERY uncomfortable. Overall, the stay was ok. The room was nice. I would have liked to have had either a microwave or a refrigerator, but I would have to stay that overall, the stay was not bad at all. The guy at the check-in desk was a huge turn-off! The location was great because it was right near the interstate and very close to tons of restaurants.”

• Friendly, helpful staff, nice room.
• Hot tub was not working.

“Very friendly staff. We asked for the best bbq in Memphis, and were given good directions and a phone number in case we got lost. I had sprained my ankle just before leaving for the trip, and the front desk staff noticed and changed our room to a first floor room near the lobby. Rooms were nice and the bed was very comfortable. However, outdoor hot tub was not working.”

• Liked everything very much.

“My stay at Fairfield Inn-Perkins was for a family vacation with daughter, hubby, and young grandson. We had a lovely time. The service by staff at this hotel is commendable-always cheerful, courteous, and helpful. At the end of each busy day, we took a dip in the outdoor pool. Room has a good view of surrounding sights and hotel, in general, has very good access to places to dine. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.”
