• Each and every employee made us feel like we were very special people. They were all very happy people and seemed to really enjoy their jobs.

“I would highly recommend this hotel for tourists who are planning on enjoying Beale Street, the National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studio, and Graceland. The sites were a close driving distance from the hotel. The staff at the hotel were very happy people and made us feel special.”

• Clean, good breakfast, easily accessible from highway.
• Most personnel were very nice-the women who worked 4-12 shift was very rude.

“Overall. I liked this hotel. Only thing they need to do is replace the young lady who worked the 4-12 shift. She was friendly as long as someone else was working with her, but once she was the only staff her whole attitude toward the customer changed. One of the rudest people I have ever met serving the public.”

• Very good breakfast & pool. Beds were comfy.
• Room was non-smoking, but smelled like smoke.

• The staff was very cordial and set the tone as soon as I encountered any of them. The female manager even served my breakfast plate! Customer service.

• The staff was very friendly, and the room was comfortable.

“I was very pleased with the Holiday Inn Express-Midtown, in Memphis. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the room was nice. They quickly moved me from a smoking to a non-smoking room and the room I stayed in was very comfortable. The breakfast was awesome!”

• Would have liked a room without 2 queen beds. Our feet hung off the end.

• The staff was friendly in refunding my money.
• The fact that my truck was broke into in the parking lot.

“The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. My truck was broke into and sustained damages to the door and a pistol was stolen out of the truck. The staff was very understanding and refunded my money in full because of the incident. They also offered to find us somewhere else to stay for the night.”

• Not a good area; staff had questionable integrity.

“The hotel itself is nice enough but the area is questionable, especially for the price. Several rooms were broke into and robbed while we were there! Seriously! Desk clerk received a kickback from a cab driver (she called for us) who took the longest possible route to Downtown and made up the fare (the cab drivers in Memphis do not turn on their meters and self determine how much you owe). We finally got out and walked the rest of the way Downtown. Wish we had paid the extra to stay Downtown!”

“I was under the impression I was staying at the Holiday Inn, in Memphis, on Union by the Peabody. When I got there they told me my hotel was 2 miles up on Union. I guess its my fault, but I would not he booked the hotel if I had known it was so far from where I wanted to be.”

• Good quality for the money.
• A bit out of town and sometimes no breakfast left at 9am.

“Nice hotel, good staff but a bit out of town and good 1 hour walk, needed taxis to go downtown. Some days at breakfast there was nothing left and some people had to do without any breakfast.”

• It was clean.
• My safety is priceless.

“I was in Memphis for a one day conference and chose this hotel because 1) close proximity to the conference center 2) it had good reviews from other users and 3) the other conference hotels were sold-out. Although the hotel is clean and the front-desk personnel are decent, there is no full-time, on-duty general manager. I have never heard of that! On to the good stuff. Upon arrival to our room, we were greeted by a couple having a fight in the hallway (12:15am) we arrived super late at the property and I was looking forward to a solid 5 hours sleep before our wakeup call. No need for a wakeup call here! At 4am I was awakened by a young couple (different from the first) trying to open my door with a handful of different card-keys! As my door was securely locked, they then proceeded to the two doors across the hall - then who knows what. Unfortunately I did not call the police as I was trying to eek out one more hour of sleep before my 6am wakeup call. When I reported this to the front desk, th
