• Was very clean, and I was very pleased about the price I paid.
• Not enough lighting in the room.

• The bar was small and service there was unskilled.

• The shuttle service was great.
• Forgot to keep the amenities in room until I called up.

“The location of this hotel was very close to a Downtown trolley stop. The hotel shuttle service, although there was a wait, was very convenient, especially going to Beale Street. The hotel itself was nice, but not really fancy. It was extremely quiet, however and we were able to sleep well.”

• I thought that the it was a bit of a hike to get downtown.

• The hotel was very accessible for the interstate. The hotel staff was very courteous, and the room was very clean.
• The hotel did offer a secure parking area but
  I didn't like the fact that I had to pay an additional fee as a registered guest.

“The hotel is located in a location which allows you quick access to downtown activities. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms are a little dated as we had a toilet that was not secured to floor which made things a little interesting. The hotel did promptly replace the toilet seat but the problem was with the toilet itself. Overall, very enjoyable stay and I would stay again.”

• The recent renovations were quality and well executed.
• There were a few issues with the elevators, but nothing too inconvenient.

“I was very pleased with this hotel. At first glance, the outside looks a little aged, but the inside and the rooms had been remodeled and was all around very nice.”

• The bathroom sink area had limited space.

“This is a nice hotel - comfortable and friendly. It is well-located for meetings in the Memphis Convention Center. The hotel restaurant was only OK and there did not appear to be any nice restaurants close-by.”

“Lobby was stark and cold. The hotel is obviously old, but the rooms have been updated and were clean. Florescent lights throughout lobby, hallways and rooms were very stark.”

• Located next to the freeway
• Extra fee for parking in the almost empty parking lot.

“Be prepared to travel floors for ice, machine on 4th floor has a very old sign indicating that it is out of order. The exercise room has a great view but the low ceiling is not for people 6 ft or more. If you want to take a nap wear ear plugs because the next door church bells sound like Big Ben.”

• Very nice staff!
• The distance to the downtown area.

“Very nice hotel! The rooms were very clean and the staff was very gracious. My only complaint is that the hotel isn't closer to the downtown, however there is a very quaint trolley that for very short money can take you to the down town. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.”

• Location was close to downtown, beds and pillows were comfortable, friendly hotel staff.
• Lobby and rooms can be renovated, really not much more than a place to sleep.

“While not disappointed, I have stayed in much nicer hotels. Staff was friendly even though their front desk was a podium. Lobby and rooms were clean but looked dull and could use a makeover. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Free use of computers was helpful. Hotel was within walking distance to Beale Sr. (10 minutes).”

• Overall nice looking hotel.
• Located at the end of downtown Memphis.

“Generally a good hotel, location was a little far away but once we figured out the trolley it worked out. Some basic things were missing such as only had one very small wastebasket in the bathroom, had space for a refrigerator but didn't have one, the room had been sprayed with a lavender spray when we arrived which, in my opinion just stunk. I have allergies, but in fairness, they didn't use the spray again after I asked.”
