  • Very friendly staff.
  • Homeless people between parking and lobby.

“Staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. We stayed Thanksgiving night, so downtown was dead, but self-parking requires going down under the convention center, then either across the street or through the sky walk to get to the lobby. In both instances, we didn't feel safe as we encountered homeless either sleeping or milling around. Security (or lack thereof) was my only complaint.”

  • Cleanliness and view of the city were amazing!
  • There was a $12.00 per day fee for parking.

“This hotel was amazing. I could never afford luxury like this if it were not for Priceline.com's deal that was brokered.”

  • Working staff.
  • Management.

“The working staff at this hotel was great, but the hotel managements very bad. I had a room on the concierge's level. I was awaken every morning at 5 am to loud noise coming from the service entrance. I reported the events to management, but they seemed not to care about fixing the situation. They did give a $50 rebate for a room. Wow! I will never stay at this hotel again. Beware of what is supposed to be the best of the best floors in this hotel. Thank God for the friendly working staff.”

  • The shower & the fitness area.
  • The staff was not friendly in fact they were rude.

“I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Most of the staff was really rude & unhelpful. The room was not as clean as it should have been & when I first entered the room it was really hot & stuffy. The pool was nice but a light had popped out & was floating on top of the pool & hotel staff was in & out of the pool area & no one stopped to put the light back in the socket & there were kids in the pool at the time.”

  • Staff was very helpful.
  • Secure parking was being across the street from the hotel and elevator was not working.

“Well located for downtown attractions.”

“Overall great place 2 stay. Good size rooms with large bathroom. Good location!”

  • Very nice hotel, excellent staff, great value and location to downtown attractions (Mud Island, Cannon Center, Pyramid).
  • Tricky driving to hotel front door from I-40. Self-parking seemed costly for exposed lot.

“Very positive experience over-all, with beautiful room, very attractive lobby and restaurant, nice sitting areas. Close to downtown attractions we were visiting and Main Street Trolley was right outside the door. Great value through Priceline; accepted my name-your-price bid within one minute. Will definitely stay there again. Thanks!”

  • The staff was awesome. From the Valet to the Front Desk!

“This Marriott is awesome. The Valet staff were super friendly and accommodating. Front Desk was very helpful in steering us in the right direction for dinner and entertainment. The room was clean and the size of the bathroom was super!”

  • The Location.
  • Having to pay for parking/untruthful staff Members.

“This hotel was very nice and most of the people were the same, however we did find out that they weren't completely honest when it came to parking. We had two vehicles, because we
were from different direction. The price to park at the hotel was 12.00 a day plus taxes for each vehicle.
I would have never stayed had I known this. The room was also cleaned late in the evening. I was also not awarded my rewards points, because they say I booked on line and weren't entitled to any. The Hotel was on a Trolley Line which made travel easy.”

  • The staff was friendly.
  • No updated information about restaurants.

“Liked the location, staff overall friendly but had very little knowledge of restaurants, tours, etc.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[2] •

  • Fitness facility, restaurant.
  • Noisy, mosquitoes in room, unhelpful staff.

“This hotel was a disappointment for the price. The staff was not particularly helpful (did not explain internet options, failed to address excessive noise, overcharged for internet service, etc.). It was very noisy during the night because it is easy to hear what is going on in the hallways and next door. Also, mosquitoes were a serious problem in the room (12th floor!). However, they have an excellent fitness facility and the food and staff in the restaurant were good.”

  • Very clean, close to trolley and Beal Street
  • Nothing.

“Good location to downtown Memphis and Beal Street. Trolley stop right out front. Valet and Bellman service was great. Very clean and updated hotel. Gift shop and coffee shop was great! Gift shop even had a section of gifts that the proceeder's went to St. Jude's Children's Hospital - very impressed with that. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again!”

  • Great beds and a friendly staff. The trolley stop is at the hotel. Printed directions to local attractions if you are driving.
  • Wish it was closer to Beale Street.

“I loved the beds, the room was great. I would stay again. I did not like having to pay to park but it was not an unreasonable price. The trolley stops at the hotel it is convenient and cheaper than a cab.”

  • Location to Beale Street and the River.
  • Parking was $12 a day.

“It's a great place to stay if you don't mine the old style television. There is no free breakfast. Breakfast was around $13 for eggs and bacon.”
