“Most of the front desk was helpful and really went out of their way to accommodate us with our room and tour requests. Easy use of the safe deposit box for our valuable. Pool side dining-good atmosphere. Loved the free parking. Need to probably update the rooms soon.”

“What a pleasant surprise! This is a gem. I met the owner as I was checking out. He lives there. He has had some employees for more than 30 years. It really is a family. Do yourself a favor and stay in this hotel.”

“Great service and friendly/helpful staff. Location was perfect at the quiet end of the French Quarter with easy car and walking access to all the great touristy parts of New Orleans. Our room appearance was a little dated, but totally comfortable and clean.”

“Le Richelieu was a nice place to stay in New Orleans. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. The hotel room was nice sized with a balcony overlooking the streets and buildings in the French Quarter. It was very close to everywhere we wanted to go.”

“Old European on the outside, luxurious Victorian on the inside. Immaculately clean. Old style highly profession staff worthy of appearing in a Bogart movie. I strongly recommend this hotel for a couple that wants a quiet romantic get-a-way.”

“This hotel is a true European experience. Your room key is turned into the front desk when you leave the hotel. Although the hotel lacks modern security, I never felt unsafe. The front desk staff made excellent recommendations for dining, and filled us in on the local safe walking routes. The onsite, self parking is a definite plus, and you save the additional $15.00 - $30.00 fee other hotels charge for parking. We've stayed at here before and will again, but I hope they consider some upgrades at some point.”

“For anyone visiting New Orleans this is in the perfect location. It is in the French Quarter but in a quiet area. The people at the front desk, in the restaurant, etc were most pleasant and helpful. We would recommend this hotel and return as guests.”

“You can not ask for a better location for this hotel. It's just 2 blocks off bourbon street. The hotel has good atmosphere and an old history. It is one of the few hotels that include parking with each room. Good, overall, experience.”

“I had an incident that occurred on one New Orleans' roads and my car was injured. Needless to say the Hotel staff notified me of the mess, and when I needed to stay an extra day the hotel helped me with those accommodations as well. 5 stars to the staff!.”
