  • Friendly staff.

“An enjoyable place right in the French Quarter.”

  • The French Quarter atmosphere and being on the fringe of the French Quarter.
  • The air conditioning unit was finicky and need to pick up room service dishes from hall.

“Most of the front desk was helpful and really went out of their way to accommodate us with our room and tour requests. Easy use of the safe deposit box for our valuable. Pool side dining-good atmosphere. Loved the free parking. Need to probably update the rooms soon.”

  • Outstanding-greatly exceeded my expectations-very much like European hotels.
  • No coffee maker in room.

“What a pleasant surprise! This is a gem. I met the owner as I was checking out. He lives there. He has had some employees for more than 30 years. It really is a family. Do yourself a favor and stay in this hotel.”

  • Picturesque setting, great location and price. Lots of character. Free Parking!
  • Room decor was a little dated and worn, but well-kept.

“Great service and friendly/helpful staff. Location was perfect at the quiet end of the French Quarter with easy car and walking access to all the great touristy parts of New Orleans. Our room appearance was a little dated, but totally comfortable and clean.”

  • I really loved the staff and service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It had everything we wanted.
  • I thought the bathroom could be a little more up to date.

“Le Richelieu was a nice place to stay in New Orleans. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. The hotel room was nice sized with a balcony overlooking the streets and buildings in the French Quarter. It was very close to everywhere we wanted to go.”

  • Two blocks from Bourbon Street, free security patrolled parking.

“Old European on the outside, luxurious Victorian on the inside. Immaculately clean. Old style highly profession staff worthy of appearing in a Bogart movie. I strongly recommend this hotel for a couple that wants a quiet romantic get-a-way.”

  • They are one of the few hotels that have on site, self parking with no additional fee in the French quarter.
  • When we ran out of toilet paper, the front desk insisted we come down and get replacements. The mirrors on the walls in the rooms were distracting.

“This hotel is a true European experience. Your room key is turned into the front desk when you leave the hotel. Although the hotel lacks modern security, I never felt unsafe. The front desk staff made excellent recommendations for dining, and filled us in on the local safe walking routes. The onsite, self parking is a definite plus, and you save the additional $15.00 - $30.00 fee other hotels charge for parking. We've stayed at here before and will again, but I hope they consider some upgrades at some point.”

  • Quiet but in a great location for New Orleans.
  • The room was a bit small but certainly adequate.

“For anyone visiting New Orleans this is in the perfect location. It is in the French Quarter but in a quiet area. The people at the front desk, in the restaurant, etc were most pleasant and helpful. We would recommend this hotel and return as guests.”

  • Great location, centrally located, friendly staff, rustic and romantic room.
  • Room is due for minor renovation.

“You can not ask for a better location for this hotel. It's just 2 blocks off bourbon street. The hotel has good atmosphere and an old history. It is one of the few hotels that include parking with each room. Good, overall, experience.”

  • The hotel staff was AWESOME!

“I had an incident that occurred on one New Orleans' roads and my car was injured. Needless to say the Hotel staff notified me of the mess, and when I needed to stay an extra day the hotel helped me with those accommodations as well. 5 stars to the staff!.”
