  • The location was perfect.
  • My cell phone was stolen from car either by the valet or someone at the hotel.

“Everything about the hotel was great. Perfect location to many attractions/restaurants. Did not have to use our car while we were there for the weekend. Very friendly staff and beautiful hotel.”

  • The public space was amazing and the convenience of location was great.
  • The 6 floor was freezing in the hall way and the walk from the elevator was cold.

“Great overall experience, when we first got there the room was not prepared properly but the staff responded immediately and made things right. I would stay again without a second thought!”

  • The location is best.
  • They want your money.

“The location was best. The valet parking was expensive, when you ask them about a self parking (that is just 2 block away) they didn't want to tell you; they only provided one full/queen bed room.”

  • Location, friendly staff.
  • Thirty dollars a night for parking! Outrageous! We did not expect that at all!

“I liked the hotel - great location, great staff, pretty clean. Our bathroom was a little old fashioned and could have been updated - but overall - hotel was nice. However! - We got hit with a $30.00 a night parking fee (we stayed two nights) - which we thought was outrageous - especially since we had not been warned or told about it.”

  • The location was great.
  • The sheets were stained.

“A great place. We had a problem with stained sheets but new ones were sent up as soon as we informed them of the problem. The location is ideal and cannot be beat. This hotel is an historic building and this must be taken into consideration, it has a lot of charm but don't expect a sleek high-rise.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[4] • Location:[9]

  • The location.
  • $30 to park; This was once nice hotel, but now shabby.

“Location in French Quarter was good. The tub had been re-glazed but was peeling. The bedspread was awful and the carpet old and ugly. The staff did nothing but act like we were a bother.”

  • The location of the hotel was excellent as were the staff.
  • There was nothing that I disliked about this hotel. It was incredible and I'd definitely stay there again.

“From the moment my husband and I arrived at the Bourbon Orleans we were treating wonderfully. The staff was kind, courteous and very professional. There was an exposed bricked on the wall in our bathroom that tore a hole in my shirt and scratched my shoulder. After reporting it to the security manager, she went above and beyond to replace my one-of-a-kind shirt and repair the bracket immediately. Our room was clean, spacious and had a beautiful view of the hotel's Courtyard. I'd highly recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying with the Bourbon Orleans in the future!”

  • Only stayed one night but all in all excellent service and location.
  • Elevator and stairs location we kept using the service elevator to get to our room.

“Loved everything about this hotel. Will defiantly use again. We only stayed one night but it was worth the money spent. Only dislike was the service elevator to our floor and the regular hotel elevator. They were both to far apart and to we have to use the service elevator to get to our room when we werent suppose to. Lucky us the hotel staff looked the other way to help us but I feel may be opening those up to everyone is possible.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[3] • Location:[7]

  • Close to bourbon street.
  • Tiny and run down. It is in the French quarter so that is expected.

“Great location for partying. Noisy at night. The staff is there entirely for the paycheck. Not really there to service you.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Beautiful lobby, friendly and helpful staff.
  • Terrible room, tiny, dark, not even room for a chair.

“This would be a wonderful hotel if you get a nice room. We liked everything about it except the ridiculous size of the room and the lack of Natural light. The room was a lock off for a suite, so it did not even have a chair to sit in. Window faced a concrete wall six feet away, so very little light came in. We had to use the lights to see even in the middle of the day. Not my idea of a luxury hotel.”

  • Nice view, good location, friendly staff.
  • Room was very small, toilet ran, valet parking $30/night.

“The hotel amenities were very nice, the location was great and our view was lovely. However, our room was very small and valet parking was $30/night. Also, the walk from the elevator to the room was extremely far.”

  • Great location and price.
  • Took over 1 hour to get car that was valet parked.

“Early morning departure took over 1 hour to get car from valet. They pushed several guests in front of us that were yelling for their cars. I guess you need to yell for good valet service?”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[5] • Location:[5]

  • Location.
  • The room was small and smelled for musty and was shocked that there was not any self parking at the hotel. So we had to pay an extra $30 for valet service.

“Nice lobby and convenient to Bourbon street. Be prepared for $30 valet service because there is not a parking lot for the hotel. Ask for a room with a view. Our view was of the alley for the dumpsters.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Professional and friendly staff.
  • Got the smallest room at the end of the hallway.

“If the hotel beefed up the staff a bit and did detailing on the interiors - it could easily be a 3-1/2 to 4 star hotel. But the post Katrina problems lead to staffing problems, thus not as good as possible.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Location in relation to Bourbon Street.
  • The parking situation was ridiculous and the TV. In the room was not working properly.

“The hotel was quite nice but I feel that they should make sure that the televisions are functioning properly in all the rooms. I also understand that it is located in the French Quarter but the parking arrangements were totally unacceptable. I took me almost an hour just to park my own car 11 blocks away at $25.00/day.”

  • I loved everything!
  • Nothing.

“I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Everyone---from the bellmen, valet, front desk, maids, bartenders, waiters, managers--was absolutely wonderful. This hotel is safe, clean and centrally located to everything the French Quarter has to offer.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[6] • Location:[10]

  • The location was great!
  • It was not the quality I expected. The rooms were similar to a Holiday Inn if not lesser quality.

“The location was great! The pool at night was wonderful. It was not the quality I expected. The rooms were similar to a Holiday Inn if not lesser quality. The valet parking was a joke. We had to park our car a few miles away in a garage owned by the hotel, pay $25/day and park ourselves in the most cramped garage I've ever seen. Then a shuttle picks us up and took us to and from the car when we wanted to go somewhere.”
