• The location to the French Quarter was excellent. Walking distance to everything.
• Petite room was just that--very small and the bathroom was tiny.

“The Omni Royal Orleans is a really nice hotel. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are very small (queen, no balcony) and the elevators are kind of old and scary. The roof-top, heated pool is really nice, as is the view.”

• Rooms were very small.

“I was suppose to have 2 full beds (enough room to sleep 4 people) in both of 2 rooms. When
I checked in the staff put me in 2 extremely small rooms that had only one bed in each and once we put a roll out bed in each room, there was
no walking space. The room was horribly cramped.”

• Location, rooftop deck.
• Had 2nd floor room and heard loud music from wedding in banquet room. Luckily it was over by 8:00.

• Staff was friendly & attentive. Hotel was clean & great location.
• Bathrooms were small. They charge for internet access.

“The hotel entrance and lobby are beautiful. All the staff was courteous and accommodating. The rooms are quiet, clean & comfortable. We had a non-smoking room with queen bed. The room was a tad small which we didn't mind. We would have liked the bathroom to be larger. 2 people in the bathroom is crowded. We did not eat at the restaurant or use any of its amenities. I tried to check email from their business center, but there was a charge to do so. We were allowed to print our boarding passes for free though. Overall, we had a very nice experience and would not hesitate to stay there again.”

• Helpful, friendly, very down to earth, not snobby and which is hard to find in a highly rated hotel.

“Extremely helpful, very kind to late arrivals and beautiful hotel with historic surrounding. It mixes well within the character and personality of the French Quarter. Staff was kind, knowledgeable and welcoming.”

• In the heart of the French Quarter.
• Almost spent more on parking than in room. Room really
  small.

“Room way too small for a hotel of that grade, had to put my suitcase in the closet so the door would open! Parking is $30 per day.”

• The staff was very professional and friendly!
• The bed was hard and linens/comforter needed updating.

“This hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The staff was fantastic. The rooms and bathroom were too small but okay for the French Quarter. However, the bed needs updating. The mattress was so hard that we couldn't even sleep! Also, they need to update their comforters to duvets to keep up with the standards.”

• In the French Quarter, 2 block Burbon,, 1 block to Decatur.
• Small rooms, $30 to park a day.

“ Great hotel, in the heart of the French quarter. can walk any where in 5 min or less. Great service, loved the turn-down service. ”

• Pool scenery.
• Stairs, no valet when needed, hard to check in.

“Older hotel, small rooms, great views from pool, better with two doubles, very loud on bottom floors due to wedding party, good customer service moved us up to higher floor. Great location, but hard to check in, very confusing.”

• It is a lovely old hotel, loved the foyer and chandeliers, restaurants, fantastic location!
• Dated dirty carpet in halls, same for room spread, bathroom looks dated and was not cleaned up when we checked in.

“For the French Quarters you can not beat this location! Close to everything, but far enough from all the noise. Lovely & foyer, fabulous rooftop pool and viewing area. The only down part was the dated dirty carpet and dated bedspread and bathroom. A plus for our small room was it opened onto a courtyard which made it more pleasant.”

• I like the location and the pool/roof top area.
• The staff was ok. Not great and not bad. Just ok.

“This was a nice hotel, but the rooms were definitely the lesser quality rooms. We stayed for two nights, and for the second night had to request a room change since there was a big party going on in the banquet room, which was directly under our room. The front desk arranged for a new room right away, but it was a smaller room than the first. Overall it was a nice hotel in a great location, and I would stay there again for the location, but not for the service level.”
