“All I can say is new Orleans is back in business! The hospitality at this hotel was exceptional. We had an ample size room on the 39th floor facing the river and canal street. The views were breathtaking. We stayed here the night before our cruise and in the am we could see the ships in port. They allowed us to do a late checkout which allowed time to walk through the French quarter. Parking is valet only which is average for new Orleans. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and will definitely return.”

“The rating scale does not address the room. We were charged /night for a room that was so small that we could just make it around the bed. The bathroom was too small to turn around in and we are not overweight. We checked out within 3 hours and went across the street to the Sheraton and got a much larger room with an ample sized bathroom, free breakfast and free h'orderves The staff at Marriott was very good about letting us leave without charging us. Other people at our Convention had their reservations which were made months ago cancelled. So, although the staff and location is great, there are other hotels right nearby Bourbon street and the French quarter that have better amenities.”

“I could not have asked a better location and the staff was so friendly. It felt like home ... and maybe it will be some day. If you enjoy real people and respect their culture... N.O. is the best place on earth. ”

“We had a great time at the Marriott Orleans! Excellent service and amenities, although the location is on the edge of the French Quarter, but still within walking distance to the Market, Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, etc.”

“The location of this hotel was excellent. We were able to walk everywhere, even though it is located on the edge of the French Quarter. The rooms are fairly small, but clean.”

“We stay in the French Quarter at least twice a year. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Only draw back is it is on the out skirts of the French Quarter where we spent most of our time. However the best location we have stayed in for convenience. The Quarter, Casino, Riverwalk all a few steps away.”

“Very good location if you are looking to stay nearby in the French Quarters, but not directly on top of the noises. Only 2 blocks from it.”

“Aside from the long waits for the elevators (causing us to be late for an event) and the bellman that never showed to take our luggage down, our stay at this hotel was very nice and comfortable. The feather beds were a nice and unexpected luxury and were very comfortable. Staff was friendly, just seemed too busy and we had to wait frequently for service. Parking was $25 a day which I believe is exorbitant for hotel GUESTS!”

“The Marriott is in a great location for walking to the French Quarter and other sites. Staff nice and courteous. However, I almost paid as much for parking as I did for the room for one night. Marriott needs to give paying guest a break on that parking. Other than that, I would definitely recommend the Marriott.”

“The hotel was very conveniently located allowing exploration of the city by foot or by streetcar from one of the nearby stops. The check-in staff, left luggage staff etc did their job adequately but were not overly helpful or friendly. The hotel room was not as nice as I would have expected for a 4* hotel. ”

“My wife and I loved the view and cleanliness of the room. The location was easy to get out of. However, we were very displeased with the staff at the hotel as a whole. Checking in and out of the hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, valet parking staff and bellman staff were very poor. They were not friendly and very, very slow.We would not go back to this hotel, due to the staff problems that were evident. We are basing this decision on staff problems. They were just not respectful and helpful, for the services and prices they charged to park your car and keeping your bags stored.”
