• Nothing I disliked.

“Friendly, courteous staff. Room was large and good amenities such as fridge and microwave. Close to downtown, airport and rail.”

• Proximity to Amtrak; proximity to restaurants; helpful staff.
• Drafty room; leaky shower.

“Staff was very helpful and courteous. Hotel was convenient to restaurants and Amtrak station. Room was clean and comfortable, though the shower was in need of some repair. Good for a night's stay.”

• Everything about this hotel was good. From the time we checked in until we left, the staff was always helpful and pleasant.
• I was a little disappointed in the breakfast. Not enough variety.

“The hotel was in the perfect location for all of our plans. The staff did everything right from the time of our arrival to helping call a cab when we checked out.”

• Very friendly staff, fantastic location. Great cable options for business travelers.
• The breakfast area/set up is kind of random.

“Really enjoyed myself - a great hotel. I will definitely try to stay there again. Grounds are beautiful and the area can not be beat - you can walk to several restaurants, etc.”

“The staff person was friendly and helpful, but the room was so crowded you could barely move. The outside looked dingy and in need of repair.”

• Quiet room, quiet air conditioner, and friendly staff.
• Poor signage.

“Charming courtyard layout but lack of signage makes finding other rooms in other buildings difficult at first. Nice rectangular pool! Lap swimming is possible. Big trees and nice landscaping have a real New Orleans feel. Ample parking in a lot across the street was convenient and precluded having car doors slamming and engines starting under your window at odd hours. Friendly and efficient staff.”

• Very pretty landscape and grounds.
• The walkways were cluttered.

“Overall the hotel served its purpose well. It was economic. Not dirty, and it's proximity to the French quarter was great.”

• Beautiful Gardens and Patios. Good restaurants within walking distance. Just across the street from the streetcar.
• Could not get a non-smoking room. Our room looked across at a brown wall as it was in a corner.

“Good location in the Garden district. Could use some updating. The beds were brand new and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was high on the sugar and crab scale and low on the protein and fresh fruit side. The resident cats need to be fed or given new homes, way too skinny. Free parking was appreciated. Staff was friendly and helpful but had to call to have our toilet fixed and ask for a delivery of clean towels.”

• It was very close to the Street car.
• The room needed updated.

“All in all this was a very pleasant hotel for the price. It was very convenient to the street car that took us to Bourbon street and the French Quarter. The area around the hotel was also very safe and clean. The hotel staff was outstanding and very helpful! We really enjoyed our stay in New Orleans and were very pleased with the hotel. They only comment I would make is that they should update some of the rooms.”

• The location was excellent.
• It was not "senior/handicapped" friendly.

“The hotel was charming - figuring out how to get into the parking lot late at night is challenging. It is conveniently located next to the streetcar line for visiting parts of the city.”

• The location was excellent and had plenty of gathering space for large family groups.
• We had to ask for enough towels every day.

“The rooms were clean and attractive. Because family members were in 6 different rooms, the amount of common space to meet and visit was plentiful and accommodated seniors to small children. The streetcar stop was in front of the hotel, making tourist travel very easy.”

“The floors needed cleaning, badly. I ordered a sweet and they put me in a small non-sweet room. They changed the room for me but I was in no mood to go through that.”

• Old-world architecture around pleasant courtyards, right on streetcar line.
• Rooms not well soundproofed, and other guests fairly loud outside our door.

“Can't beat the location for New Orleans if you want to go to the zoo with children on the streetcar and walk to restaurants when you get back at night. Decent rooms around charming interior Courtyards. Bonus: resident cats for the little ones to love.”

• Housekeeping was not very accommodating, if you are a late riser. Room did not get cleaned if you weren't out by noon.

“It's a charming little hotel. Very family oriented. The courtyard area is beautiful. Housekeeping was a little inattentive, particularly if you are a late riser as I am.”

• The location is great. The streetcar line stops right out front and you can have access to the whole city. Than atmosphere was excellent.
• There wasn't any thing that stood out to speak of.

“From the street it appears to be a small motel but once you drive into their private parking (a definite plus) you get to see the private courtyards with lush gardens and magnolia trees. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and have already recommended it to our friends and family.”

• The location was central. The courtyards were lovely.
• Room was dirty looking with a huge stain on the rug and dark.

“Overall not an awful experience but not one I would recommend. The room was not vacuumed while we stayed and it smelled of cigarettes even though it was supposed to be non smoking.”
