  • Good breakfast.
  • Lots of people wondering around the parking lot after dark.

“It was neat and clean, however we asked for 2 rooms with 2 double beds and ended up getting 1 room with 2 double beds and 1 room with a king bed making a couple of our children sleep on the floor.”

  • The stench in the room was unbearable.

“Upon attempting to check in, the desk girl said, there's no rooms available at 1 p.m. However, she did check two ladies in. At 2 p.m. she found me a room. I don't know if she looked and remembered about the room with the stench or not! My girlfriend, got up the next morning and found that the iron was missing. She had to drive back home to iron her jeans. I will never stay at that location again.”

  • The staff was very friendly.
  • There was no alarm clock, the drink machine did not work.

“The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room did not have an alarm clock, which I really was shocked to find. The lamps on the nightstand did not work, because the cords had been cut off. Also, the only drink machine that I could find in the area took my money and gave me no drinks. There also seemed like there were a lot of shady types of people staying there that made me a little uncomfortable with my vehicle being parked near. But like I say if you just need a place to crash for the night, it is right off of the interstate and very convenient to shopping and eating.”

  • The hotel was good.
  • Doors to outside, bathroom tiny and dingy, 3 AM argument outside between hotel guests or staff.

“This hotel was awful. It was unsafe in that the doors all opened directly outside. The bathroom did not have enough towels. The TV remote did not work. The room smelled like a hospital. And at 3 AM someone got into an argument outside near our room and was screaming profanities and slamming doors. No one should stay at this hotel, actually motel, at this location. The La Quinta hotels are generally great places to stay, but this one is definitely not.”

  • The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the staff is always friendly.

  • Convenient location off I-55 in Jackson--reasonable amenities for the hotel ratings.
  • Non-smoking room still reeked; bed linens had stray materials stuck to them.

“The convenience, the hotel stay was worthwhile. But if you were to pay the full price, steer clear of this particular facility. The non-smoking room still reeked of smoke. The bed linens had what could have been hair stuck to them. The ceiling had cracks around the edges. The bathroom tub faucet leaked, and the soap dish nook was chipped. The "free" Internet was only intermittently available. The hotel employees were courteous, but brisk, and they answered my few questions well.”

  • The clerk at check in was very friendly and courteous.
  • Seemed to be in the rough side of town.

“Too many thug looking blacks waiting for the bus just outside of the lot. At night it seemed too much traffic. A car of a couple black women pulled in and we could swear they were prostitutes. Parking situation was very bad. I had to park on the back side of the hotel and walk around the building to get to my room. That left me feeling really uncomfortable about the safety of my vehicle. Just outside of my room was the ice machine. All hours of the night I would hear people getting ice.”

  • About 10 cable channels and internet very slow (just like every La Quinta).

“The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were pretty clean. Also, there is no microwave or refrigerator.”

  • Horribly uncomfortable bed.

“I stay in hotels several times a month so I can pretty much sleep anywhere. However, not here. The bed was so hard that my body ached and the pillows were like thin pieces of cardboard. I also tried to call the front desk several times during the evening to request more pillows and report that our movie ordering service was not working but could not get anyone to ever answer the phone. I left my medicine in the room when we vacated and left several messages for the staff in hopes of retrieving but no one ever called me back so I had to replace it all.”

  • It was clean and the people were nice.
  • Dr. pepper machine, ice machine and wireless internet didn't work.

“Hotel was clean, people nice. Wish someone could have fixed the broken dr. pepper machine and ice machine. It would have been nice to talk to a tech support person for the inability to get the internet. Clerk said only they could talk to tech support - that does not make since that they should be an intermediary.”

  • Convenience to everything I needed.
  • Air conditioning was leaking in floor, giving a musty, and mildew smell. Carpet was very wet.

  • Easy access to i-55.
  • Old, smelly, loud air conditioner and tear it down.

“I requested a no-smoking room with king bed. I received a smoking room with double queen. Old room, advertised on banner outside hotel at $39.99. This hotel is an embarrassment to the La Quinta chain.”

  • At 4:20 p.m. room was not ready, shower did not drain, no towels.

“Was very disappointed in the service at this hotel. Checked in at 4:20 and needed to shower before wedding. Beds were made but there were no bath towels available. Had to dry off with hand towels. shower did not drain - showered in 2 to 3 inches of dirty water. Water pressure nominal. Someone else at the front desk when I was checking in did not have iron in their room and had already asked earlier for one.”

  • I did not receive the correct rooms, the air didn't work.

“I am not sure what actually went wrong during the process of getting the hotel. However, I did not receive the correct rooms, I registered for 3-doubles, I received 3-king sizes rooms and they were completely sold out. One of the rooms was without air conditioning, therefore it was hot and humiliating, I asked for non-smoking because I am allergic to smoke and of course the rooms were smoking rooms. The drain in the bath tub in my room was not working properly. I cleaned the tub and had to wait about fifteen minutes for it to drain before I could take a bath. My experience at this hotel was not enjoyable at all. This was the worst I have ever had to deal with.”
