  • The hospitality hour! and breakfast!
  • The website advertised and outdoor heated pool--NOT!

“I had problem with accessing the hotel wireless internet but the manager on duty really helped me get on it and did it with an excellent attitude I really loved the hospitality hour! Beds awesome! one negative, the website advertised outdoor heated pool well it was outside but definitely not heated and was locked up.”

  • Theft episode negated any positives.
  • Lack of security measures, rude, uncaring, unconcerned staff, and especially the manager.

“I too had valuables of sizeable monetary value stolen from my room. Security measures are extremely lax; I lost my room key, went to the desk to request another; I was asked my room number and was given another key without having to show any identification whatsoever. If our personal items are not safe in our rooms during the day, how safe can we be during the night? The manager showed little concern regarding the theft and would not accept any responsibility for it; though it was definitely determined there was an unauthorized entry into my room. What I find odd is that I was not shown the results of the reading of the lock on my door, which leads me to believe there was indeed some wrong doing on the part of the hotel. Never will I stay there again, nor will any of my associates.”

“Security should be a concern here. Room keys are given out arbitrarily, and even left lying on the front desk for anyone to take. Items were taken from my room, which was located right next to the lobby, yet no one saw a thing. Suspicious individuals were in the lobby during the hotel's happy hour; concern regarding these individuals was relayed to the manager, yet he failed to confirm their status and investigate further. Manager was extremely rude and uncaring regarding the theft that took place, and failed to compensate me for the stolen items, though it was obvious even to him that an unauthorized entry was made into my room. The location of this hotel is in an unsavory part of Jackson, yet security is surprisingly lax - no video cameras (which would have recorded the unauthorized entry had video cameras been utilized); they claim one officer patrols the property at night; however this officer was seldom seen. I highly recommend the Drury Inn on I-55 instead of this Hampton Inn.”

“Very sloppy security measures, indifferent staff. If you lose your room key, they do not ask for id to confirm you are indeed a guest; instead they merely give you another key, leaving the possibility of unauthorized entry into your room and the theft of your belongings.”

  • High-speed internet access.
  • Inadequate security, unconcerned employees.

“Lack of security. Items stolen from room¿s located scant feet from the front desk were treated as no big deal and this Hampton denied responsibility. Employees make new keys for guests who have lost them without asking for identification, so anyone can obtain a key to any room simply by supplying the room number. In a nutshell, do not stay here!”

“I had a wonderful experience in your hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.”
