• Loved the location.
• Wasn't enough lighting.

“The location is great if you are going to party at the landing like we did. The casino is also next door which is very awesome!”

• It was very close to the place we were visiting.
• The neighborhood was a little questionable.

“This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. It is close to the venues I visit when coming to St. Louis. It is also an excellent value.”

• Location to downtown and public transportation.
• Holes in linens, stained towels, musty and generally not very clean.

“Hotel was convenient to downtown and public transportation, though room was musty and linens were so stained we did not use some of them. Bath facilities were also quite stained and worn. Bed linens had holes in them and pillows were flat and worn out.”

• Cheap room, only a decent place to sleep, but that's all we wanted.
• Dirty, not much parking, on the edge of the local attractions.

“We wanted a cheap place to stay on the river front. The Econo lodge was just that. If you want a hotel with a lot of guest service and amenities this isn't it. It is within walking distance of the Metro link which we took to Busch Stadium. I would recommend it to a family who wants to spend their money seeing attractions and not on an overpriced hotel.”

• The man that check us in was the only nice and helpful one in the place.
• The hotel staff was very rude, and the hotel was very dirty, hair in the bath tub.

“I will never stay in this hotel again. It was very dirty and the people were very rude.”

• Close to arch.
• Very unclean.

“This hotel is nothing like I had expected for price. I've stayed at nicer hotels. There was dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling, the room smelled and it just wasn't clean. The comforter had a large cigarette burn in it. There was a 2-3 inch gap under the door, which didn't close well. The office had fly tape hanging, even next to the breakfast bar!”

“This was a terrible experience due to the fact that the place was filthy. We had to ask for sheets to be changed (they were dirty when we arrived) and that was the only cleaning done on our second day there.”

• Thank God I only stayed one night!
• There was a hole in the wall and blood on the floor!

“This hotel was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! There was a 2inch gap at the bottom of the door, a hole in the wall, blood spots on the floor and inside the comforter and mold growing in the shower and on the curtain! I just thank God that I was only there for less than 12 hrs total!”

• Hotel was trashy, like a place for hookers to work out of.

“This hotel was not to my expectation at all especially for the price paid. Access was not very convenient. Room and bathroom very small for the price. Won't stay there again.”

• Dirty unattractive building.

“Easy walk to the night life on the Laclede Landing and the affordability of the rooms balance the un attractive and dirty building. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly, but not quite "professional".”

• Location was good for walking downtown. Never used the rental car. Right on the edge of downtown. Cheap!
• No microwave or refrigerator.

“The hotel was minimal, but I was not interested in staying there. I was walking downtown the whole weekend. In walking distance to downtown. I walked to two cardinals games over the weekend and really enjoyed being able to see downtown on foot. The area isn't the best being right on the edge of main downtown, but I never felt uncomfortable, even late nights walking back. Caddy-corner from the hotel is the football stadium (Raymond James) and a park, which feels safe. Only have to cross the street and you're in downtown. The staff was helpful, though I would have liked a refrigerator at least. No microwave either. For the money, very worth it!”

• It was close to the stadiums.
• Hair in the bathroom floor, wires showing from wall, door wouldn't lock bad part of town.

“Would not recommend to another person. When we arrived the door was wide open because it wouldn't shut properly. If the door did shut it would not lock. There were wires showing from the wall were someone had taken the smoke detector down to smoke in a non smoking room. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. The people at the front desk were not pleasant.”

• It was cheap.
• The sign in the lobby that said no refunds after 15 minutes.

“Very difficult to get to by car. kept getting lost. Train tracks nearby and construction right next door. the hotel is sufficient enough if you just want a room at a cheap price. breakfast was pastry and some nasty. would not recommend at all. wish I could get a refund!!”
