• Very friendly staff!
• Getting in and out of the hotel driveway was difficult.

“Seemed to feel like an upscale facility and we felt as if we were treated like the hotel was happy to have our business!”

• The hotel was nice comfortable and clean.
• The bar closed at 11 am. But it was a Sunday night.

“The hotel was spotless. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was huge. It is right across the road from the Convention Center.”

• It was very nice.
• Parking was expensive and not close to hotel.

“Overall it was a very nice hotel. There was a shriners convention checking in at the same time and that was crazy. The rooms were very nice and quiet. Towels felt like sand paper. In that nice of a hotel you would think that the towels would be soft.”

• Poor location and inconvenient parking!

“The staff was nice and friendly. The room was neat and clean. However the room was not as nice of a room that I would expect from a 4 star hotel. The location was several blocks from all the restaurants and quite a walk to the river front. The parking was inconvenient and cost an additional $14 a night.”

• Very clean and well kept and close to The Arch and Casino's.
• Not much casual dining or shopping close to the hotel and restaurants were too expensive to eat at.

“Very nice, clean hotel that I would stay at again knowing I have to travel a little way for dining and shopping.”

• Had to pay for concierge lounge. If you get it in, it should be free of charge.

“Excellent hotel. Everything was great, but having to pay for the items in the concierge was a bit disappointing. Marriott should reward their Elite members with better services, like Priority Club Rewards does. Marriott needs some heavy work in their rewards department.”

• It was very clean, the front desk staff were very pleasant.
• Took a while to get the roll away bed and extra blankets.

“I actually up-graded rooms when I arrived to a suite. The hotel was really nice and met the expectations that I had.”

• How large the room was for the price we paid. Very happy!
• We did not have any dislikes.

“We do not get the opportunity to travel often so when we got to our room and saw how large and beautiful it was we were ecstatic! Very good experience for us! Thank you for your service you provide.”

• We absolutely loved the bedding - it was awesome!
• The room service was pricey and not really kid friendly.

“This hotel was wonderful. We had a great & relaxing time while we were there. It could be a little more kid friendly. The kids wanted burgers, chicken strips, and fries. A refrigerator for cold drinks would have been nice too! But, overall, we enjoyed everything.”

• Internet charge was $15 per day.

“Warm, friendly and courteous staff with aptitude for service made our check-in easy and stay pleasant. The 2-room suite we were upgraded to for free because it was our anniversary was top notch. Great views from upper rooms. The restaurants in the hotel were highly rated along with the restaurants within an easy 2 block walk.”

• It far surpassed my expectations and was the most luxurious place I've ever stayed!
• The parking garage was a separate building. Two separate buildings held hotel - awkward.

“Once we found the proper parking garage, pulled our luggage along the block to one lobby, told we had to go across the street for our accommodations. We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the hotel was!”

• Comfortable beds, indoor pool and hot tub were nice and the kids enjoyed.
• Nowhere in the hotel to grab a quick bite with kids.

“We really liked the hotel - beds were super comfy and nice size. The indoor pool and hot tub were great and the kids didn't want to leave. Only complaint is that there wasn't a place in the hotel to grab a quick dinner with kids. Overall, great hotel and would stay again!”

• Small rooms, but clean and well-maintained.

“Though the room was small it was very quiet and very clean. The service in this hotel is fabulous. Location is convenient to the Arch and taxis can take you anywhere. Very pleased.”

• The public spaces have pizzaz.
• The parking at $14.00 is too expensive.

“The St. Louis Downtown Renaissance Hotel appears to be recently renovated in all the public spaces and the rooms. The elevator service is fast and quiet. Washington Avenue is now a hot spot downtown, so there are some great places within easy walking distance to eat and drink. A Metrolink station is within an easy two block walk giving us easy access to the airport, Clayton, Forest Park and Washington University.”
