“Overall it was a very nice hotel. There was a shriners convention checking in at the same time and that was crazy. The rooms were very nice and quiet. Towels felt like sand paper. In that nice of a hotel you would think that the towels would be soft.”

“The staff was nice and friendly. The room was neat and clean. However the room was not as nice of a room that I would expect from a 4 star hotel. The location was several blocks from all the restaurants and quite a walk to the river front. The parking was inconvenient and cost an additional $14 a night.”

“Excellent hotel. Everything was great, but having to pay for the items in the concierge was a bit disappointing. Marriott should reward their Elite members with better services, like Priority Club Rewards does. Marriott needs some heavy work in their rewards department.”

“This hotel was wonderful. We had a great & relaxing time while we were there. It could be a little more kid friendly. The kids wanted burgers, chicken strips, and fries. A refrigerator for cold drinks would have been nice too! But, overall, we enjoyed everything.”

“Warm, friendly and courteous staff with aptitude for service made our check-in easy and stay pleasant. The 2-room suite we were upgraded to for free because it was our anniversary was top notch. Great views from upper rooms. The restaurants in the hotel were highly rated along with the restaurants within an easy 2 block walk.”

“We really liked the hotel - beds were super comfy and nice size. The indoor pool and hot tub were great and the kids didn't want to leave. Only complaint is that there wasn't a place in the hotel to grab a quick dinner with kids. Overall, great hotel and would stay again!”

“The St. Louis Downtown Renaissance Hotel appears to be recently renovated in all the public spaces and the rooms. The elevator service is fast and quiet. Washington Avenue is now a hot spot downtown, so there are some great places within easy walking distance to eat and drink. A Metrolink station is within an easy two block walk giving us easy access to the airport, Clayton, Forest Park and Washington University.”
