• Location! Metro stop and lots of places to eat and shop at your doorstep.
• Rooms are small and bathroom outdated.

“You can't beat the location of this hotel. You can take the Metrolink to just about anywhere. You have the comfort of all of the shopping and place to eat at your fingertips. Room rather small for party of 4 (with 2 young children) would stay here again.”

• Location near many restaurants and attractions downtown.
• Have to pay for parking.

• Very quiet, close to a lot of things.
• Long hallways to get to room.

“We have stayed in this hotel several times and really enjoy the surroundings. The rooms are always comfortable and extremely quiet.”

• It was in a mall.
• I had to pay $10 a day for wireless internet.

“Awesome place to stay, about 1-2 miles from the arch and both stadiums, about 5 miles from Budweiser. Great location, just wish the wireless internet wasnt 10 dollars a day.”

• Location.
• No draperies to shut city lights, no fridge or breakfast.

“The hotel is in a nice convenient location but it lacked niceties like in room coffee or easy place to get breakfast before my work conference. The heat/cool system was poor. I thought it was just an alright hotel, would not seek it out again on my frequent St. Louis trips.”

• The location and history.
• The view from our room was not as desirable as the garden views.

“Loved the stay. The accessibility to the Metro link for the Cardinals' game was great. We stayed for the weekend and took in Union Station as part of the trip.”

• We've stayed here before and loved it.
• There wasn't any water in our first room and no hot water in our second!

“This trip was very disappointing. There was no water in the tub/shower in our first room. We moved to another room. Again very nice, but no hot water. We were given a credit for internet for two days, but it still was a hassle. We would stay there again because of past visits and how satisfied we have been.”

• Historic building.
• Moldy carpets, no hot water, non-functioning shower.

“I cannot believe that Hyatt allows its name to be on this hotel. The hallways and rooms smell of mold. We were unable to take shower, as the hot water was non functioning. The fact that they had the ballrooms rented out to two fraternities for formal dances (with most of the rooms occupied by these college students) is a clear indication that they are not interested in maintaining an upscale brand at this location. Terrible hotel.”

• It was very clean and the room was arranged and furnished nicely.
• We wish there was a pool available on location, you had to walk to the Marriot and use their pool.

“The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The valet was always accomodating when we needed our vehicle. The room was arranged well and the furniture was modern and clean. The room itself was clean and smelled clean. It was an excellent stay!”

• The sports bar needs updated. Food was good, atmosphere run down.

“My husband and I had a wonderful weekend because of this beautiful hotel. The staff was terrifically friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.”

• Convenient to Hockey, Baseball, and Arch/Riverfront.
• No free internet, wireless or wired.

“Great room, helpful staff. We went to St. Louis with one purpose, sports! We found the only weekend to hit both Hockey and Baseball. This hotel was close enough to both venues and the Riverfront/Arch to save us money on parking, even after paying the reduced parking rate at Union Station. Plenty of good dining of any sort available in Union Station, though the mall is not what it once was. It is a walk through the mall to get to the desk for check-in, but we knew about it in advance and were prepared to walk that weekend. Both the Blues and the Cards won, and the Hyatt made the overnight pleasant and comfortable.”

• The history and charm of the hotel was amazing.
• Lack of people in the public places but I would be more in the summer I think.

“This hotel is located in the old Union Train Station. The complex is beautiful with shopping, food, and plenty of drink all under the same roof. The location. I would stay again in a heartbeat.”

• Very regal. Very comfortable room & beds/bedding. Love the bathroom with the cubbies on the sides of the vanity.
• Long walk to the rooms. Parking could be more convenient.

“What an awesome place to go and be in the middle of everything in St. Louis. Convenient to SLU (our reason for being there), and the Downtown and Soulard areas. Clean and comfortable room after a busy night out!”

• The location in St. Louis Union Station.
• I generally stay in Hampton. I did not feel that the room was significantly better for it to be a four star hotel.

“We enjoyed our time at the Hyatt. The rooms were nice but the help was outstanding. When we arrived we told them that we were celebrating an anniversary and would like a king suite. They pulled out a layout of the rooms and not only found us a king suite, but found us an out-of-the-way spot where it would be quiet.”

• Great location, lots to do and great for children also.
• Parking was inconvenient if you did not Valet park.

“Union Station is a beautiful old hotel. Restoration efforts were wonderful. Great location with shops and restaurants. Metro link right outside the hotel. Easy walk to the Downtown sites, ballpark, Arch, etc but outside of the heavy traffic area.”

• The location was excellent with numerous restaurants close by and the decor was attractive and new.
• For a 4 star hotel, the TV was outdated and reception just mediocre.

“The hotel was very upscale with attractive decor and color scheme. The room was exceptionally clean as was the carpet. The attached shops added a pleasant diversion. Staff was very friendly and helpful and service prompt.”
