• Friendly staff.
• Only four pet friendly rooms.

“Nice motel with good views of the lake. Continental breakfast in the AM can be very crowded. Hallways are rather plain. Lots of local info in the lobby. Had only 4 pet rooms kind of wish that they would have more. Nice staff on hand. A definite plus that the location was in downtown Grand Marais!”

• The Hotel was clean ands in a convenient location.
• The hotel was under construction and we were not notified of this.

“The hotel was clean and convenient but considering how empty it was we thought we could have had a room with a better view.”

• Clean well maintained building.
• Told I would get the "Gov't" rate by two employees, at Checkout they refused to give the "Gov't" rate.

“The hotel as a whole was fine. Again, my only problem was the rate. I was advised by two staff members at the hotel (prior to check-in [on the phone] and at check-in) that I could get the Gov't rate (I am a Govt employee, alone with two other guesses). At the time of checkout, the desk clerk refused to give us the Govt rate. Even when told the other employees said we could have it. Her explanation was that one of the employees was "new" and "only with them [the hotel] a few weeks". That sounds like a training issue to me, not the problem of the consumer.”

• Wonderful setting on Lake Superior with beach for relaxing. Convenient to shops too!
• We could not stay longer!

“My wife and I spent our two day holiday at this wonderful location. We were planning to do more exploring of the Grand Marais area but ended up spending most of our time at the Inn enjoying the sunrise to sunset ambiance. The businesses in the area are "Minnesota nice" and our hosts were no exception. Oh, yes--fishing boats & Kayaks!”
