• Gym was always open, free internet.
• Bathroom was dirty, bed linen felt dingy.

“I have stayed at several other La Quintas throughout the SW, and have found this to be the worst one yet. The people at the front seemed to not care about their job nor were very friendly.”

• The location of the hotel was great.
• The hotel was limited with the amount of TV stations available and the satellite kept going out.

“I was not impressed with the hotel. The staff was friendly, but the room was not what I expected. The satellite for the TV kept going out due to the rain and the TV stations were very limited. I was also disappointed about the amount it cost to make a long distance call $3.00 a minute is way too expensive.”

• Close to the airport.
• The carpet cleaner in the room, the chemical smell in the room and the smell of cigarettes in the hallway.

“Very close to the airport, close to a very good sports bar. Try to keep the sheets on or you'll see some fairly nasty mattress stains.”

• Couldn't get in hotel without room key.
• Cleanliness is a serious problem.

“Bathroom hadn't been cleaned in weeks, evidently. We had to clean it ourselves upon arrival. Also, we asked for a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room. Smell was horrific. Other guests that were with my party had similar if not worse experiences.”

• Front desk clerk was very friendly/helpful. Hotel was very clean.
• Beds were very hard and the toilet kept running the entire time there.

• The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
• It was not located around anything to do.

“Hotel was nice and clean. The front desk staff was awesome. They were all very nice and very helpful with directions, delivery options, etc. They only drawback was that it was located in an odd location where there wasn't much around. The highway was close but there was no place for dining or entertainment. I would definitely stay again.”

• Nothing - it was the most unprofessional experience we have ever had and we want our money back we did not stay there!

“This hotel was in a horrible part of town. There was a domestic disturbance in the lobby of the hotel at the time of our arrival. We were traveling with 2 young children which we did not want exposed or put in harms way and we did not stay there.”

• Front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.
• Outside of room in disarray.

“This is the first time ever that I have been disappointed. The hotel room's numbers were off (supposedly stolen and not replaced), the green light on the door didnt work to show it was unlocked, I ate breakfast fairly early and they had run out of some items (the ones I wanted, like waffle batter), etc. Just a lot of problems. Most of the time it meets and surpasses my expectations but not this time.”

• The a/c was not working and it was hot all night! No shuttle to the airport.

• The price!
• Distance from St Louis.

“Very good value for the money. A bit of a drive into St Louis (about 20 minutes) but you can't beat the price. Clean overall and the staff was nice. Area is pretty decent - I didn't feel remotely in danger at any point during my stay.”

• The desk clerk was very helpful. She made our stay pleasant.
• Not a lot of parking in front. Back parking was dark.

“Easy check in and lady at the desk was wonderful. She helped with directions to our concert and when we returned provided us with numbers to local pizza places.”

• Cigarette smell in the hallways and carpet

“Location was fine, near the airport and close enough to two big malls. But the rooms are very simple and the pillows and carpet smelled cigarettes, although we were told it was a non-smoking room. Cigarette smell was strong in the hallways--bad if you have little kids. Annoying sound system in the hallway was loud and caused vibration of objects inside the room. The only staff member available didn't know how to turn it off. The manager was out of town. Other than these, it was a cheap stay.”

• It was close to the highway and had free internet access.
• This motel was dirtiest of the last 20 hotels I have stayed in.

“This motel might be worth a look if you are shopping on price alone. Otherwise, I would not recommend it because the halls and most of the carpeting was dingy, as was the lobby area during breakfast. Every table was trashed so I took my cereal back to the room. The staff was friendly enough when I requested a room change shortly after checking in because I discovered about 20 hairs (!) in the king-sized bed. No other kind-sized rooms were available so I took two doubles. Oh, and the walls and windows are thin so bring your sleeping pills.”
