“This was an older hotel. The lobby was not real inviting. The room was OK but the kitchen utensils were dirty and the room was old and didn't feel real clean. The toilet was broken and the TV controller did not work. The staff promptly fixed the toilet and replaced the controller. They were very friendly and professional and made sure my stay was comfortable.”

“The hotel was nice, kind of hidden if you don't know where you're going. The hotel itself was very nice and clean, but our room didn't have any towels or dishes. I didn't like the fact that the hotel didn't have an ice machine, you had to use the ice in the ice trays in the refrigerator.”

“I would not stay at a Homestead Suites again. Though the check-in clerk was very friendly and upgraded us to king room with a roll-away bed free of charge, the room was not clean. The bathroom was dirty, as well as the kitchenette. There were also little gnats flying around everywhere. This was my first disappointment.”

“I thought it will be a much better place than the hotels that were priced lower. Gave us a smoking room, and the rooms had terrible smell. It smelt of sewage and smoke. Flush broke the next day. Staff was not very concerned about us changing rooms.”

“As if having to stay in a smoking room with my son in 1 bed the first 2 nights wasn't bad enough, there were many bugs in the room. I had to clean numerous cobwebs from the corners of the ceiling.”

“We had to evacuate in the night due to the fire alarm going off. Fire trucks and firemen arrived, axes in hand. I was upset to find that a man in a wheelchair was in a room on the third floor by himself. Why would anyone in a wheelchair be anywhere other than ground floor? Also, we stayed two nights and our room was not cleaned, nor sheets changed.”

“My fiancé' and I very much like the room itself it was clean and comfortable. However the bed was very uncomfortable and we had a backache most of the weekend. We had to go down to the front desk because the coffee cups were missing in the room. I think that a hotel like this should have full size coffee pots in the rooms because people that stay there usually are there for more then 1 day and it would be more convenient. Otherwise, our stay really wasn't that bad.”

“The place gave me the creeps. Dingy, cheap room with awful comforter and pillows. No continental breakfast; just cheap coffee. No one was working at the front desk. Got yelled at by the maintenance man because I guess I wasn't supposed to be able to even get in the hotel that late!”

“Location was great, and hotel structure is newer. On the other hand the hotel staff was not eager to help with anything. The room when we checked in had not been cleaned, the floors were not vacuumed, there was hair on the sinks, and there was a bag of garbage with rotten fruit left under the kitchen sink that left a terrible odor that the maid did not take out, I had to do it myself at check in.”

“Location of hotel is great if your visiting Westport Plaza, only a 2 minute drive. Also only about 15 min to either downtown or airport both in opposite directions from hotel. Hotel is newer but unkempt. My room had a terrible odor when we checked in but thought it was from someone cooking. One day later we found a garbage bag full of old decaying food under the sink. Hair on the floor. Disgusting!”

“The hotel was not filthy. However, it did not look like the carpets had been vacuumed for a few days in the halls. The hotel room was clean and met expectations for an extended stay hotel. Check out was at 11am, but the cleaning lady was knocking on doors at 10:15 trying to rush people out. We left a small cooler in the fridge with sandwiches and drinks on the last day. We realized this when we got ready for lunch. The hotel was not out of the way for our return trip home, so we stopped by 5 hours after we checked out to get our cooler. It was not turned in to the lost and found, nor was it still in the fridge in the room. The staff at the desk at that time said that nothing was reported as being turned in from our room, they did not have access to the locked area, that someone would contact me. Four days later, I have not been contacted (and I did verify my information before leaving). The cost of the cooler and food is not a big deal, but the lack of honesty and being rushed out put a bad end to what would have been a decent stay.”

“If you're looking for an inexpensive place to sleep and don't mind no frills, this is a good place. The hotel shows signs of wear but the staff is friendly.”
