• Helpful staff.
• Room carpet very dirty as shown on soles of socks.

“This hotel was fine for what it is. Thank goodness the beautiful Lake Superior is across the street! It was definitely economy, not pristine for cleanliness and had adequate morning breakfast bar items. It was a place to leave in the morning and come back to in the night.”

• It was nice last year when we went there. This year it was dirty and had bugs.
• The continental breakfast. The bugs. The dirty furniture.

• Did not like it.
• The room was not comfortable, the linens were wrinkled and were of questionable cleanliness, the breakfast was not tasty and difficult to navigate.

“Very disappointing. I have stayed in Super 8 hotels before and this one did not meet the standard I have come to expect.”

• Nothing.
• Trashcans were not emptied, dirty windows, ice and vending machines were not convenient.

“Did not enjoy the night, poor location next to busy street, could not see lake only peoples back yards. Would not stay there again. Barley a 1 star!”

• The staff was nice and took care of what we needed.
• The room smelled terrible and we couldn't open the window de to a bird's nest.

“The rooms smelled terrible and there was no elevator to get your luggage to the room, it was also on Lake Superior but no rooms really had a lake view.”

• The staff was very accommodating with directions to sites. There is a pool and a free breakfast.
• No pets - offer boarding for overnight if people come in with pets.

“It is a standard economy hotel. The room was quiet and comfortable. The free breakfast was minimal but adequate. There is a pool. The towels and toilet paper were of low quality. The hotel is near Lake Superior and near the town center. It's adequate hotel for a budget trip. The staff was very helpful.”

• Location.
• Musty smoky smell in nonsmoking room and very small hot tub with temp way too high.

“It was overpriced and of poor quality and unfortunately, there is only one other hotel in town that is part of a well known chain. The hot tub was too hot; the staff who initially greeted us was ill-trained and brusque, in a location where the views could have been great if the building was situated better. I would not stay there again.”

• I liked the location near Lake Superior.

“Overall, this was your average Super 8. I had to call a manager to fix that issue. At check out, the desk associate wanted my credit card to charge the room and when I told her it was already paid for she claimed it wasn't so a manager had to be called in”

“Super 8 in Ashland, wig. Is a very clean, friendly, quiet motel to stay at in the area? The pool and hot tub are clean and quiet.”
