“Building was clean outside, but room should have been cleaned better. (The room was just dirty). Non-smoking rooms had smoke odors.”

“Pathetic, mildew smell, damaged cheap fixtures, worn and torn carpet, sunken in bed, tiny shower, tiny vanity; kitchen was a joke, 3 feet from the toilet. Someone kept a brick in the outside doors to keep them open at night so not safe. Just a nasty place with mostly nasty people hanging around. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.”

“Someone should have told us it was under construction and very messy - construction workers everywhere - TV was out had to have a new one put in and no locks from the inside of the room.”

“I've stayed in this hotel before, years ago. I suppose they're renovating because of age and recent hurricane damage, but the rooms were not up to par for what I would have stayed in. I actually didn't stay the second night, but stayed with friends in the area because of the condition of the room. I'm sure they will be back up to their prior levels of quality once the renovations are complete. We just won't stay there again until it's finished. The staff was, and is still very friendly.”

“Places was horrible. Bags with clothes still in room, not clean, stains everywhere. Busted up kitchen. No help after hours like promise, clerk went to store and I had to wait outside my room for 1 1/2 hours. Horrible smell. Do not stay here!”

“This place is not a 2 star hotel. It's dingy. There wasn't even an alarm clock in the room. My kids were afraid to walk on the carpet.”

“Crestwood Suites are a nice place for family, travelers, or workers who require modestly-priced nicely appointed suites for a short or extended stay. The suites are attractive, clean, and have everything you need except food. bring food. A large refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and 2-burner electric cook-top are included. We found the staff to be very friendly, courteous, and professional. The facility has electronically controlled doors and security cameras on all four sides of the building, and in hallways. There are also deadbolts and door jammers for extra security in each suite. Coin-op laundry machines are available and each suite has an iron and ironing board. Each bathroom has an electric hair-dryer, however, there was no clock radio in the room, so bring your own music. The TV is absolutely fabulous. Vending machines are located in the lobby near the elevator and in the coin-op laundry area on the 1st floor. A business traveler might prefer more opulence in facilities than the Crestwood Suites offer, however, fine restaurants and bars are very close by. Overall, the Crestwood Suites are an excellent place to have a pleasant stay. I highly recommend!”

“This is a very scary hotel, the exterior locked door at my end of the hall was propped open with a brick (so people without keys could get in) Rooms supposed to be non-smoking, so people stood in the hall smoking. All furniture in room was trashed. When it rained water ran in on the floor and carpet. Staff put bath towels on wet floor and brought in a large drying fan. This happened twice during my stay. The staff knows this happens. Bathtub and Bathroom sink was stopped up. Dirty walls, with swipes of paint to cover past damage. Dirty and torn sofa. I bought a blanket and covered it before I would sit on it. Also, bought Clorox and cleaned the bathroom. Baseboards falling off. Not really possible to clean it up, because infrastructure is so poor. Why didn't I move? I was on a two week sales trip and had unloaded clothing and samples and catalogs. Left on appointments by 8:00 AM and returned by 8 in evening. Too tired to move all of my stuff to another room that probably would have been as bad. It is a "slum-lord" type property. As a woman traveling alone, I should not have been exposed to many of the types of guests staying there. There were a few other "regular" guests that I saw over the two week period. I am sure they were as disgusted as I was. I have traveled for 20 years and this was the worst and scariest hotel experience that I have ever.”

“The room was damp and smelled horrible. The wall was so wet when I killed a roach the wall was pushed in. Staff was not concerned with cleanliness of the room.”

“I would never recommend this hotel to anybody for any reason. The double mattress/box spring sat on top of a queen frame, so the mattress literally sagged to the floor. We lifted the mattress to adjust the frame to a double and found the mattress to be horribly soiled and disgusting. And the bed was the least of our troubles! Very dirty and smelly.”

“The carpets throughout the hotel had not been vacuumed in it looked like weeks. The microwave in my room was filthy with food coating the bottom of it. There was no iron in the room and when I asked for one was told I would have to wait until the maintenance man came the next day which was after I needed to leave for business meetings. When I showed the guy at the front desk the plate out of the microwave he didn't seem to care.”

“First, the hotel is tucked away from the road, which made it hard to find but I thought would also make it a nicer, safer place to stay. The outside and grounds were nice, which also belied its interior. Though the interior was clean and the staff friendly and helpful, the residents were not temp visitors like myself; most of them appeared to use this location as their home or home away from home. There were several hook-ups in the hallways, as well as weeks worth of trash (in bags) outside the doors. There is only one elevator, and it is located in the middle of the building. So if you have a room at one of the ends, like I did, it is inconvenient for hauling luggage or anything else. Lastly, the stairwell door at the end of the building would not work, so parking there only made me walk twice as far to reach my room.”
