  • Very modern room. comfortable beds.
  • Needed more outlets.

“Overall a great place to stay, only one minor things to say, travelling with 2 people who both work on computers and have cell phones and other electronics there werent enough outlets to plug everything in to run/charge. no big deal
I know.”

  • Very clean & had a good breakfast.
  • There was a large group of high school students at the hotel.

“The room size was incredible, truly a suite, plenty of coffee, tea, sugar at the mini island. Big couch was great to hang out on & watch TV- Large flat screen TV was visible from both the beds and the couch. Would have liked a brighter, larger bathroom, but sink & mirror area was oversized and nice. It was quiet- they did offer continental breakfast and you could order/pay for hot foods, but they were pre-processed and not very good. Staff was OK- not overly friendly, but not rude either. Rooms could use a carpet cleaning, but didn't feel yucky. Enjoyed our stay- great location.”

    nice staff.
  • No vending machines or room service.

“Large rooms that were very comfortable. It could use vending machines or room service. They do have a nice restaurant down stairs for take out but when you have an infant it is not always convenient to have to leave the room.”

  • The staff and management made all the difference.
  • Nothing bad to say.

“Hyatt Place sent their own survey to which I described an odd response we had received from one of the housekeepers. The Manager, called me at home days later to apologize and offer an explanation, which in turn made perfect sense for the odd conversation we had had with the housekeeper. He did it so tactfully and wanted to make certain we understood the situation. I just so admired the way he addressed our minimal complaint. It's hard to put into words how kind and professional the manager was in contacting us except to say that I would so wish that every hotel we ever stay in have management and staff who take customer service to heart in the way this Hyatt Place obviously commits to on an continual basis, with a vested interested in the complete and total satisfaction and security of its guests. How refreshing!”

  • Rooms were suites with plenty of room. It was clean and bed was very comfortable. Employees helpful and friendly.
  • Breakfast offered was good. Didn't offer as much as other hotels.

  • Personnel were friendly by inexperienced at this hotel.
  • Not really handicapped bath, no hand rail for commode no hand shower.

“Must have just taken over the hotel staff not sure of what to do. Too, too close to I10 my husband explained to me at 4AM it was not the soothing sound of surf I was hearing.”

  • All staff was happy and greeted us as we saw them.
  • There was nothing negative about this hotel.

“I was extremely pleased with the hotel. Every staff member greeted us with a smile when we would pass them in the halls or wherever. You could tell they were happy with their job. The hotel was classy, clean and beautiful. I will stay at a Hyatt Place every chance I get!”

  • The overall look, decor and feel of hotel was spectacular.
  • The bathroom door was in the way if not fully open or closed.

“I was very pleased with my stay at the Hyatt. The price, location and room were all top notch. The toiletries were very soft and fragrant. I was impressed with the overall comfort in the room. A nice surprise was all the outlets for prime technology use. This was very useful.”

  • Very impressed with the TV and it is easily accessible A/V inputs.
  • The pool was very disappointing. It had a slimy growth on parts of the bottom and sides.

“Overall, this was a very nice hotel. It was a little sketchy getting in and out of the parking lot because of the location and the way traffic is routed in the area.”

  • Location.
  • Lack of trained staff. I could tell there was a change in management as soon as I checked in.

“Very disappointed with my staff at the hotel in Baton Rouge last week. The staff was not trained and I could tell something was different. It did not feel like the very nice place I had stayed before. My room and bathroom was dirty with two dead roaches on the floor. I ask if there had been a change in management and they yes. Big mistake. All the people working could not help you for talking to someone on their cell phones.”

  • Great location- breakfast was solid- huge HDTV in your room and the staff is wonderful.
  • Nothing.

“This is an excellent hotel- great location, solid breakfast in the morning, free internet, a fantastic television and room decor, great fitness facilities. I would stay here again without any doubt. Zach who works at the front desk was so friendly, knowledgeable about the area- and I saw the same thing with other folks who worked out front!”

  • I liked having the couch with the divider wall for when you want to go to sleep and they don't.
  • Nothing.

“The room was clean and I also like the way they are trying to go green with the option of only having linens changed on the third day of your stay. The staff was super friendly! I will definitely stay there again!”
