• Cleanliness and overall appearance of the room.
• The bed mattress was very hard. I did not get much sleep and woke up with sore back.

“You feel like you are in a high class hotel when entering the front door. Once I got to the room I noticed everything was very clean and looked very nice. The presentation of the bed really caught my eye. I was very satisfied with this room except for the mattress on the bed making me very sore the next morning.”

• The rooms were very nice and the overall appearance of the hotel was very nice.
• The room rate was high.

“We were very pleased with the whole experience; I enjoyed the elegant look of the foyer. We were in town for the LSU game and if they had won then everything would have been perfect!”

• Location and friendly staff make for a great visit to baton rouge.
• The swivel chair in the room was dusty.

“I have stayed at the baton rouge Marriott many times. This Marriott is my first choice when visiting baton rouge. The staff members are friendly and extremely accommodating. The breakfast dining is excellent.”

• The staff was nice.
• No customer service by Marriott corporate offices.

“Most of the staff at this hotel was very pleasant. The place is a bit old, but it is not bad. My problem is that the staff kept a faulty elevator working. Actually, there were problems with the bathroom and the elevators my entire stay. The biggest problem is that after leaving I can not get service from customer service. The local Baton Rouge Marriott sends you to corporate and they do not seem interested in resolving customer problems. Perhaps it is better to book with smaller hotels that can resolve problems on their own and cannot hide behind a large corporation. When people realize they cannot resolve a problem and stop staying at the Marriott, maybe they will get back to treating their customers like humans like they did in the good old days.”

• The room itself and bed was very nice and comfortable.
• We were in Room 708 and the bathroom was extremely small; counters low.

“For the amount of money paid, expected a luxury room and bathroom. The bathroom was extremely small from size, tub and counters.”

• The hotel is very clean and rooms are big.
• Very expensive, staff not too accommodating to minorities like us

“I liked the experience in general although they need to improve in the area of customer relations. I am Asian and I did not feel like I was treated in the same way they treated the businessmen and the rich looking.”

• The overall facility was very nice. I used the pool and fitness center and both met my expectations. The room was comfortable and clean.
• For some reason we did not have hot water on the 2nd day of our stay, and I had to pay for internet access in my room. Boo!.

• The toilet was broken and so was the exhaust fan

“The hotel was nice but having a broken toilet really put a damper on things. This is one area which needs to be addressed and put on prioity since it needs to be comfortable being away from home.”

• The staff was friendly and respectful. The hotel was close to dining, shopping, etc.
• It was not luxurious as most 3 star hotels. the room was average. NO view

“There was a fire alarm at 1am and the entire hotel was forced to evacuate. The alarms were frightening and we ended up sitting on the curb for an hour in our pajamas. It was set off by some of the loud partiers that were all over the hotel. There was no apology for the interruption and we did not get the sleep we deserved.”

• Beautiful lobby, good location
• Room was less than clean, especially bathroom.

“Well located off Interstate 10, this is a nice Marriott with all the usual features. Very attractive lobby, bar and restaurant. I didn't eat there, but the menu looked good. Room was nice but the bathroom was less than clean. Also grubby lamps, clock radio, all the furnishings needed attention. They need to step up their housekeeping but overall a good experience.”

• Very pretty lobby and bar, pretty rooms except for the carpets.
• Carpet in room is very old & stained looking. Bathrooms very small.

“The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The lobby is very, very pretty, and the hotel bar is very attractive. We had brunch in the restaurant, but the service that day was pretty iffy. It seems like they were all having a bad day or short-handed. The rooms are nice, but the bathrooms are very small for a three star hotel. The carpets in the rooms are old. My family had three rooms, and I saw 2 of the 3. The carpet in both rooms was very much in need of replacing.”

“The location, nightly rate, and staff were all great. For the level of hotel and price paid, I anticipated high speed internet to be included. The 9.99 daily cost was not warranted in relation to the price of the hotel.”
