• The hotel staff were friendly and efficient, the hotel was very clean!
• Need better security.

“Overall, I was extremely impressed with the Hampton Inn in Eau Claire. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were clean and updated (though a bit small). My only concern is that the hotel needs to improve its security. On several occasions, members in our party needed extra keys for their rooms and the front desk staff gave them without verifying our names or asking for identification. After returning to the hotel from a wedding at 1:30 am on Sunday, I asked for a duplicate key so that I didn't have to wake my husband who was in the room already. My brother also asked for a key to his room because he had been locked out. The manager gave us both keys without question--she only asked for our room numbers. When I checked out the next morning I told the desk attendant that they needed to ask for identification as this was not good security for guests. I would like to know that if I were staying there alone, I wouldn't have to worry about someone else getting a key to my room. Otherwise, an excellent hotel. I have also stayed at the Ramada Inn in Eau Claire (which is in the same star rating as the Hampton) but it was a complete disappointment. The Ramada does not deserve to be in the same class as the Hampton!”

• Very clean and well appointed.
• Staff wasn't overly helpful, location was inconvenient and parking was horrible.

“This hotel would be GREAT for just a business traveler. It was very well appointed, but difficult to park (across the street, and then access through an underground tunnel) and there are no restaurants within walking distance, other than those in the hotel. However, the facilities within the hotel were EXCELLENT!”

• The continental breakfast was awesome!
• We did have some mechanical problems with in our room.

“The location was very convenient to where we needed to be. There was also a restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The kids enjoyed the pool and the overall experience was great.”

• The hotel was very close to the event I was attending and was also easy to find.
• There was an odor in the hallway and bathroom the first night, but it was resolved as soon as the staff was notified.

“The hotel was very clean and breakfast was good! It was easy to get to from interstate 94 and I would use again.”

• General decor of room...small, unattractively furnished.

• The breakfast was wonderful
• handicapped room with only one double bed in it. Needs at least a queen or two double

“A refrigerator would be nice but not necessary. The stay was great but we were with my elderly parents needing a handicapped room - the double bed for two elderly people was BAD!!!!!”

• I liked the clean room, lobby and pool room.

“This hotel was pretty nice for a 2 star rating. The lobby, exercise room and pool area were very clean and inviting. The staff (we met the manager, two front desk people and one housekeeper) were all very friendly and helpful. There were plenty of restaurants and other businesses within walking distance. We would stay there again.”

• I got up early (4:30AM) to get an early start, and the lobby person was very kindly took extra care to provide me a nice continental breakfast.

• My shower was broken.

“I would recommend the Hampton Inn Eau Claire to my friends. The hotel was clean; however, areas showed great wear. The continental breakfast was good. The pool and hot-tub were well kept. The staff was friendly. The hotel is in a great location...only minutes from the interstate.”

• Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, free hot breakfast
• Water pressure in shower was low, fan in bathroom was on all the time light was in bathroom was on, could not turn off fan separately from light.

• It was a great value for all the things that were included in the price
• ice machine on first floor did not work

“This hotel was an excellent value for all the things that were included in the price. The rooms were clean, the FREE breakfast was delicious, and the hotel staff was extremely accomodating! No extra charges for parking or for local and 800 numbers.”
