“Outside appearance very nice, public areas nice, rooms dated, dirty, linens soiled, TV needs updating or clearer reception, pool, hot tub chemicals very strong-burnt your eyes and affected breathing.”

“I loved this hotel and will stay there again! I am just looking for another excuse to go to Green Bay just so I can stay there longer!”

“I was booked in a smoking room when I had asked for a non-smoking. Arriving late in the day, there were limited rooms to choose from. The front desk person stated the room would be fine (smell wise). We took one step in the room and knew that not to be true. The only other room that was available looked like it had never been cleaned.”

“The room was very comfortable with the exception of the bathrooms (toilet and tub area) being really tiny. Also, the acoustics are awful. The people upstairs sounded and clomping around all night. Otherwise, it was easy to find (just off the interstate), it was clean. It offered a breakfast (waffles, toast, cereal and danishes). It had a pool and exercise room. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, as we were out sight seeing. Was a little discouraged at the security of the hotel, as each time we returned to the hotel, the window (ground floor) at the end of the hall was open, which really defeats the purpose of having key entry to the building.

“This hotel needs some serious updating. I asked to move rooms and the second room although smelled better had a leaky toilet, the sink wasn't even in the bathroom. The next morning my room key didn't work because it was not programmed properly, so when I went out to my car in my bathrobe, I was locked out. There was no suitcase valet to unpack. There was no ironing board or iron. You had to specifically call down to get one of those. The new shower curtain bar was a nice bowed one, but the paint wasn't even patched up from the last one. The hotel wasn't even on any maps or my GPS. I had to call when I was in town just to find the place. But it did have make your own waffles in the morning which was nice.”

“I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. As stated above the room was dirty or should I say the bedding (mattress cover and comforter). The front desk person at check-in was friendly and nice however the next day I went to the front desk to ask for towels because the kids were swimming (towels weren't available in the pool room) and the front desk person said there weren't any towels because they were all used the night before. I would expect that he would try to help me find some towels. Overall this experience was one of the worst that I have received.”

“Avoid at all costs. My family parents, brother, sister and brother-in-law, son and husband and I stayed two nights at this hotel for a family reunion in Eau Claire. First, you can tell you are in for a treat when you sit at the head of the bed to watch TV and the foot of the bed is higher than the head. Then, we went to the reunion on Saturday. When we got back, the room had not been serviced except to put some new towels in. The trash had not been emptied, the floor had not been vacuumed, the sink had not been wiped down, and the beds had not been made. To top it all off, my sister and I both left our prescription glasses on the sink, and they were stolen from the room! We are all experienced travelers and know to not leave jewelry and such out in plain sight, but we would never have guessed that the staff would steal our glasses. Ofcourse, the manager did not help whatsoever, but kept saying it is policy for the staff to not take anything from the rooms. Obviously they did not follow policy! We also reported the theft to hotel, which only referred us back to the independently owned and operated management of the hotel. I will never stay at a hotel again. Spend a few extra bucks and stay somewhere else. Stay in your car even. You should not have your glasses stolen that way.”

“Would not stay here again. It was too far away from any shopping or places to eat in the Eau Claire area. I was not happy that we were charged for our children.”

“OK for 1 night, when looking for a shower & bed. The continental breakfast was very small, with a poor selection to choose from. Next time, I will spend a few extra $ for a nicer place.”

“Very Spartan and with no non-smoking room available, in my opinion, unacceptable given equivalently ranked hotels in the area.”

“We were booked for two (2) nights and after being there one (1) night and leaving for the day we returned that night, the room hadn't been cleaned and no new towels were placed in the room. I had to go to the front desk in the morning to get clean towels. We have stayed in this hotel several times and have never before had a unpleasant experience. I was disappointed in the response of the front desk when told of the situation.”
