• Location was good.
• Staff was overbearing.

“The overall design of the hotel was not good because there were no internal hallways. When I checked in the hotel staff was very pushy about getting my personal information (phone number, etc) and I felt it was rude. She stated repeatedly that they needed my phone number in case I left something behind which is just ridiculous. The common areas were not in great shape and the noise level was high. I would not stay in the hotel again given the choice - the only good thing was the price and the location.”

• Lots of pillows and big TV.
• Dirty pool.

“Nice overall. Rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Plenty of pillows, which are important to me. My main complaint would be the pool. The two days I was there, the pool had bird feathers, leaves, and bugs floating on the top. I don't believe it was cleaned recently. I still used the pool. But, it would have been nice if it was cleaner.”

• From the room to the lobby to the clerk this place is always nice.
• They don't have a on staff.

• The rooms were up to date and very clean.

“I was surprised that this hotel was rated 2 stars. I wasn't sure what I was going to be walking into but I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was very clean, the front desk was very helpful. The breakfast had a lot to choose from. The rooms were up to date and very clean. We even received a phone call from the front desk when we first got into our room, asking if the room was up to our standards.”

• Getting to it is not real friendly.

• Some noise from nearby highway.

“I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy, the A/C worked great, it had good lighting and plenty of outlets for chargers/computer. I would gladly stay here in the future.”

“This is an old hotel, but has been recently renovated. Once you get past the building's obvious age, the rooms were nice enough and very clean.”

• The automated vending machine still had a few bugs in the menu system, making it hard to use.

• The lobby and common areas were clean and bright, and the staff was polite and helpful.
• The rooms were somewhat noisy and cramped.

“I was impressed that there was a card in each room from the manager, offering his personal cell phone number to contact if any disputes could not be resolved onsite! This is really a nice little hotel, although I just wish the rooms were more updated and insulated better to keep out more of the noise. Since the rooms are accessed from the outside, it is difficult not to be disturbed by outside noises and traffic. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I appreciated having healthy breakfast choices available. Hard boiled eggs are wonderful for those of us "low-carbers"!”

• The breakfast area was nice.
• No indoor pool.

“I think all hotels should only be indoor access to rooms with outside entrances locked after 10 PM with access to the hotel either from the lobby or from other entrances with the use of your room key. This hotel was outside access to rooms and I think that is unsafe.”

“My room was a nonsmoking room but smelled of smoke and an odor that I couldn't figure out. It was very noisy that weekend I was there. I left early due to all this.”

• Love the beds and the breakfast is great!
• My bathroom this time was awfully small.

“Great place to stay, friendly staff. Great beds, and very clean and neat. The breakfast is wonderful, I love the "to go" packages that are ready for you to "fly" with!”

• The staff was very friendly.
• Our room opened to the outside. It was very cold to go to breakfast with kids.

“The staff was wonderful, the breakfast buffet was good and well stocked and maintained. Our room was on an outside hallway and it was very cold. Getting our kids to breakfast was a huge deal.”

• It is very clean and attractive. Love the beds.

“I always end up at the Fairfield and very happy with the establishment. It is very clean and new, friendly, helpful staff and secure doors and elevator. The beds are extremely comfortable. It is my favorite place to stay in that area.”
