• It was kid friendly.
• It was very dirty.

“I thought over all the hotel was acceptable, but cleanliness is a must not an option. Also not enough elevators, and my son was stuck in one of the few elevators for 10 minutes.”

• It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. We didn't use the happy hour drink coins, but it's nice that they have a bar in the hotel.
• The hotel room had a wet spot on the floor when we got there, and never did dry. It was very annoying to accidentally step in this spot!

• Water park was great family fun, lots of memories.
• Little cheaper would have been perfect then.

• Excellent location, clean, nice rooms, and beautiful view.
• Two separate buildings across the street, we had to travel back and forth.

• Very close to the University where my daughter attends.
• Night clerk rude. Rug filthy and creased. Did not feel comfortable.

“Although they were doing construction, there were other things very disturbing. Night clerk very short with customers. The rug was filthy. I tripped over a wrinkle in the rug. The door and the bathroom door did not close completely. A cold draft came in the door to the room. I got hot water for my shower about the time I finished. The morning clerk was very pleasant. The breakfast was good. And the lady taking care of the breakfast was very friendly and kind.”

• Location was nice.
• Room location was terrible, noisy and smelled.

“This hotel was under construction, our room was next an elevator and across from the ice machine. The room was not worth the price I paid for it. We were very disappointed. ”

• Rooms old-inconvenient parking-breakfast awful.

“Rooms,beds,furniture very much in need of upgrading. Good location-all attention being given to future indoor water park. The staff was very helpful but did not have much to work with.”

• Great view, spacious rooms, family friendly

“We have stayed at several other hotels in Duluth in the past, but this is the one we keep coming back to. Ask for a lake view with balcony in the new building--we've never stayed in the older building which has outside access like a motor lodge. The rooms are huge and the view is fantastic. Some people are put off because it does overlook the highway below--but that has never bothered or distracted us because Duluth is not a major metropolis. I think this is a great hotel, but I do think the renovations may make it a slightly inconvenient stay for a while.”

• Breakfast, no preparation for number of guests. Slow to replenish.

“The hotel is conveniently located and easily accessible from two highways. Rooms are in good shape, wireless internet connection was intermittent.”

• Conveniently located.
• Obvious discount BUILDING compared to regular fare

“Hotel has a completely separate building (across street) for customers who are paying less or are over-flow. Rooms are older, less clean.Continental Breakfast served in "low rent" building is less than tempting. Old, thick oatmeal, often NO Hotel Staff even in building to assist with needs. Fruit was beyond ripe. One server even stated that this wing gets the fruit the newer building doesn't use!!!”

“Based on overall experience would not recommend. Poor access and parking partially due to remodeling and expansion project. Not located in an area of Duluth that is within walking distance of attractions.”

• Traffic and construction noise

“Excellent staff provided the non-smoking king room requested. Fast and easy check-in/out. Very good breakfast included in pleasant dining area with Lake Superior view. New addition under construction causes some additional noise, but no major inconvenience. ”

• close to college campus
• location of room and it wasn't the cleanest!

“The breakfast area was nice. I didn't like the location of our room. They are currently under construction, so the parking was not adequate. This hotel is close to the Univ. of Minn. Duluth campus so it was convenient for us to stay there. The price was right for our needs!”
