  • It was quiet and conveniently near Duluth, the room is spacious.
  • The atmosphere of the bar.

“It is comfortable and nicely located near Duluth. It has a nice spa and the room I had was very nice.”

  • The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was super clean.
  • The hotel sign was down, due to construction I think, and we had a hard time finding the hotel.

“Our room was very clean and it was a nice place to stay with a comfortable bed.”

  • The room was decent and everything worked as it should.
  • It was difficult to find! I drove by it three times before I finally located it. Better signage would help.

“Given the awful comments some previous people made, my expectations were quite low. I was pleasantly surprised in most respects. For what little I interacted with them, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean. Continental breakfast was good, pretty standard as these things go. The place was quiet and restful for me.”

  • Nothing.
  • Staff, very dirty, overpriced, no internet, smelly.

“One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.”

  • I liked leaving.
  • Everything.

“They sent us to a room with no beds. The whirlpool was 98 degrees so, not hot enough to kill bacteria. The whole hotel was under construction so there were beds in the halls and construction tools everywhere. I will never go there again.”

  • Absolutely nothing to like!
  • Everything! This building should be condemned.

“This place is a dump. I even passed it 3 times and had to call for their directions because there is no sign age. ”

  • Good restaurant.
  • Place was a dump. Old, dinghy, mold smell.

“This hotel was a dump. The facility has not seen any maintenance or updating since it was built (probably circa 1970). We stayed here because the hotel allows pets. At check-out was charged $20 for pet fee. We stayed at the Radisson in Duluth before and found it to be a decent place. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The hotel should be razed as an act of urban renewal.”

  • The only thing this hotel has going for it is that it is easy to find.
  • Overpriced for how run down it is.

“The room was completely rundown and outdated. The room was falling apart, wallpaper peeling off wall, paint chips coming off bathroom door, huge moldy water spot on ceiling, saggy beds and lumpy pillows. There was only 1 ice machine in the entire building that worked, the pool was freezing and the pool deck was peeling paint and moldy. .”

  • Price was reasonable.
  • Mold around the tub surround- unfinished insulation.

“I would stay at this hotel if there was no other rooms available, the lobby was very beautiful, however it didn't carry through to the rooms. It seemed that the rooms were older and it was deceptive when you walked into the lobby and then walked to your rooms. We were in the back of the hotel and there were no working outside lights, so it was very dark, I would not have wanted to be alone and walking into the hotel.”

  • Nothing.
  • It was awful.

“They placed me in 3 different rooms and they all smelled like wet dog. This place is very run down and very unsafe. I would not recommend it to anyone. We could not stay there and left and drove back home 300 miles.”

  • The free pancakes in the morning and the location on our way to Bayfield, WI.
  • The sign pointed us to the motel, but we drove by as the hotel entrance gets lost next to the Embers restaurant.

“We appreciated the value. We had planned to stay in Duluth on our way to Bayfield WI, but chose this hotel due to price and ease of finding an available spot during prime tourist season using the Internet.”
