  • Friendly staff.
  • Smoke smell was in room. There was no nonsmoking rooms available. Water was cold when showering!

“Nice enough for the money, but not high end on water pressure, showers were cold in morning. Staff friendly. We had a smoking room. Overall OK.”

  • Clean, microwave and mini-fridge.
  • Front desk staff not present.

“My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Montis Inn in St. Robert, MO on our way back to St. Louis where we had a flight home the next day. While the motel itself was dated on the outside, it was modern enough inside the room, quite clean and had more amenities than I expected (mini-fridge, microwave). I was pleased with the room. I did not sleep well on the bed, but my husband didn't have any problem. I would give this hotel an 8 overall except for one major issue. When we went to check out around 8:15-8:30am, there was nobody at the front desk (it was supposed to be 24-hr front desk service). The family that was in the breakfast area said there hadn't been anyone at the front desk since they got there and they had been there a while. I rang the bell a few times, we waited, went into the back room marked private after a while to try and find someone (nobody was there), we waited, called the place from my cell phone thinking maybe they had a portable phone, no answer.”

“Heat didn't work at all, so got moved to another room, half the electrical didn't work in the next one. But at this point too tired to concern myself. Tent would of been better.”

  • The bed and pillows were great.
  • Date exterior.

“An older hotel with some updating (furniture-bedding) but was very clean. The bathroom was updated by do it your self. Hard to get shower to stay constantly hot or cold.”

  • Clean, rooms had refrigerators, everything clean and worked well.
  • The hotel is older, but very well maintained.

“This hotel, in the Fort Leonardwood area, is older, but very well maintained. I didn't expect such cleanliness or extras like refrigerators in the rooms. Pool is small but welcome on a hot day. Breakfast is just Danish and cereal, but free! Overall, it was a great value and restful experience.”

  • Great staff, rooms were clean and close to fort Leonard wood.
  • Wished there were some shopping or fast food closer by for walking.

“Six of us stayed for 4 days to attend graduation at the base. I had to make a few room change requests due to not knowing if our guys would get an off-post pass or not on a day-to-day basis. When we needed an extra room at the last minute or to cancel if we doubled up, the staff was very friendly and obliging. They went out of their way to make sure we were pleased. When the young adults wanted to use the pool longer at night, it was opened an extra hour. The hotel has recently been renovated. The rooms were clean and spacious; the clearing staff was very cordial and efficient. It is only 8 more minutes from the main road to the base, but is on a side access road for easier travel. I would definitely stay there again if I have to return to that area. There is only one small eating place next door, but it was very good.”

  • Staff.
  • Broken heater.

“Yes it was hard to find. Yes the room we first got had a broken heater. My husband is in fatwood until we relocate overseas but my 5 yr old and I had to live out of the hotel for 2 months which meant we needed room, kitchen, and tolerance of a child who can be noisy. The lady at the desk personally brought us blankets until a better room opened, than she personally moved furniture and belongings over to the new, bigger room with the heater and replaced a broken cable wire. We had $50 refunded with no problem. It was pretty quite until the weekend when soldiers got a pass but they deserve some of their own freedom anyway. ”

  • The staff.
  • Heater broke, TV broke.

“My husband is in fatwood and we had to relocate from Arkansas be of an overseas move. That meant we had to live out of a hotel for two months (my 5 year old and me), so we had to have space, and a kitchen. Despite the fact it took us 2 hours to find it, and the fact that our original room was a disaster (heater broke, small.) The lady at the desk personally offered to help carry in our stuff (we had half our house) and brought us extra blankets until the next night when a room next door opened and she moved us. Physically moved us. She helped move everything to a room that was bigger and everything worked. We settled in again and found the TV. Cable was broke and she came down again to replace it. And the next day another desk clerk was very helpful in refunding 5o dollars. This hotel might have some glitches but the staff is excellent. The room we finally got into was definitely worth the price of having to live in it. And it¿s worth mentioning it was pretty quite except when military had passes for the weekend and were partying but consider what they do for a living and you don't feel like complaining very much. Those men and women deserve a weekend of their own freedom anyway.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[3] • Location:[9]

  • Nothing.
  • It was dirty, the toilet handle was broken, the door to the bathroom was broken, and it was overpriced.

“I would never stay here again. It was a total mess. You would be better off staying at the Day's Inn across the street, its cheaper and I'm sure it's just as nice.”

  • The Bed Was Comfortable.
  • The room did not get warm until the next morning when I left; even then it wasn't very warm.

“When I first arrived the office attendant told me that the room I had booked had been over-booked and put me in another room. The heater in that room didn't work. When I went back to the office miraculously the room I had originally booked was open. We had to turn the heat on. The remote didn't work, and I found out the next morning that the hair dryer didn't work either. Over all I was not happy with the stay or the price for the quality of the room.”

  • Convenient to highway. Newly remodeled rooms.
  • The road and neighborhood was not well maintained.

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Good location.
  • Not very clean feeling, smelled like smoke, pool not appealing.

“This hotel was ok for just sleeping in, not very appealing, did not use pool, and that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel.”
