• The pool.
• Poor selection of restaurants the downtown was run down.

“I would not recommend staying at the Holiday Inn - Duluth location. There were very few restaurants that stayed open on the weekends and the downtown looked depressing. We had to fight to get a non-smoking room and the facility was just okay overall. The location was connected via skyway but nothing was open in the skyway on the weekend. I would recommend Fitgers or perhaps the Inn on Lake Superior over this hotel.”

• Very attentive and friendly staff. Convenient location and dining.
• Walls are paper thin.

“The overall experience was really nice. When we first arrived there were screaming kids next door. We called the front desk and within 5 minutes security was at our door asking what he could do to help. The front desk went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Do not try to upgrade. We tried to get a room with a king-sized bed and were not able to.”

• The location was great. The price was even better with Priceline.
• The bathroom shower, curtain, and tub were dirty.

“Good hotel, nice people. Good location in Downtown Duluth. Hotel restaurant was no longer open. Bathroom not very clean.”

• It was very clean and the staff was super nice.

“The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. We had a small problem and the staff was very helpful in fixing it right away. I would recommend the hotel to my family and friends.”

• Clean and very smart shower curtains.

“Hey, It's Northern Scandialand.
Clean and orderly. Ugly building entered through a parking garage. Interior was clean and everything worked -including the employees. It was great.”

• The hot tub was was not clean. The bathrooms looked old and used. There was a musty smell!

• Elevators were so slow I could walk down eleven flights of stairs before others got down

“It was a nice standard hotel. It was clean and staff were very friendly. It just cost to much money to be a standard hotel. There was nothing worth spending over two hundred dollars for.”
