• For the age of the facility it was very well cared for and maintained.
• Some of the furniture was pretty worn.

“This facility provided a comfortable night of rest. Ti is reasonably priced, and convent to everything we wanted to do in Columbia. ”

• It was kind of run down.

• Close to downtown nightlife.
• One whole wall of room is glass - can be noisy w/people in the hall.

“Basically, if you want to stay within walking distance of the downtown nightlife and culture, this is your place. However, be aware that it used to be a motel, and one whole side of the room is glass. If people walking by in the hallway are noisy, you can definitely hear it. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the mini-fridge and microwave in the room.”

• Good location.
• Front desk person almost charged me twice for room, didn't understand it was pre-paid.

“Parking was a bit confusing, lobby was nice, hallways were a bit worn looking, but the room was in very good shape. Walls were a bit thin, as I heard a woman hacking/coughing next door. Front desk person didn't' understand my room was pre-paid and almost charged me twice. Were it not for the thin walls, I'd say it was worth the money.”

• A little nervous about parking, but no problem.

• Small, dirty, hot, stopped up drain, noisy.

“I was very upset with this stay. The hotel is old and on a boiler system. It was 70 degrees that day and we couldn't get the heat off. The first room we stayed in had a stopped up drain so we had to switch. The second was an oven. They gave us a fan for the second night which helped some but the staff was not very friendly about it. Whoever gave this hotel 7 out of 10 must have been delirious. There was a lot of partying going on and they didn't do anything to quiet them down either.”

• It was in downtown Columbia and close to most things.
• It looked old and worn, needed updating, unable to accommodate my need for a writing surface with internet access.

“It looked as if it may have been a nice place at some time in the past but that time has long since gone. It is worn and dated. However the sheets and towels were clean and I had a microwave and fridge in the room.”

• Friendly staff, clean, continental breakfast was good.
• Older Downtown hotel, would not be good location for children.

“This is an older Downtown hotel. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean. It would not be a good hotel for a family, partly because of location and lack of activities for children. It is okay for business travelers or anyone interested activities going on Downtown.”

• Unclean lobby, unattractive property, needs a complete facelift. Beds are uncomfortable and the layout is terrible.

• Although the hotel is older it is clean, friendly and great location!
• The hotel is older and updates could be better.

“I was not unhappy with this hotel in the least. The staff is casual, helpful and always available with a sence of urgency to assist you. This is an older hotel that may not look like the best place to stay compared to the newer/larger chains. The value the location the service and the rooms being cleaned very well daily truly puts this establishment in line with all of them! I travel for business 62% of the year, I do know hotels.”

“THe hotel is older and is very clean. Host many bus tours with out the noise and confusion that they normally bring. The staff has always been extremely welcoming.”

“I was very disappointed in this hotel. There was mold in the bathroom, the carpet was dirty, and there was a large gap between the main door and the floor. I found a yellow jacket in my bathroom and when I reported it to the staff, they did "check on it." However, when I inquired as to their findings, they treated me as if I was the one who let the yellow jacket in the room and made me feel very unwelcome. I am attending the University in Columbia for my graduate degree and will be traveling there on a regular basis to complete my degree. I will NOT stay in this hotel again for any of my visits. ”

• It was reasonably priced, fairly accessible from the interstate.
• The parking was a nightmare and it was extremely noisy when the nearby bars closed at approximately 1:30 a.m.

“I would not recommend this hotel over a weekend, as it is just too noisy and has a high traffic flow of college students and bar activity in the area. Parking is not good and potentially unsafe.”

• What didnt I like about the hotel, clean, comfortable, the price was EXELLENT!!! the staff was very friendly I will diffently be staying there again
• the contintal breakfast was alittle lacking

“The location is awesome, right down town where all the great shops and restuarants are located, a great place to eat is located at the hotel and a pug is right next door, WOW!! The only thing I didnt like was that on Friday night the "hotel parking" was converted into "public parking"...when my husband and I returned we had to park on the street, and consequently got a ticket from the police department. Other than that we had a great time.”
