  • The room was decorated nicely.
  • I had significant problems with the shower. There was no blow dryer.

“The hotel was extremely nice; however, I found the room lacking some amenities I had expected. The shower was broken, there was no blow dryer and they provided no shampoo.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[5] • Location:[10]

  • Location. Nice view of downtown.
  • Horrible showers! Hard as stone, beds! Smelly hot tub! Parking Fees.

“1. Shower consistently goes from cold to hot, nonstop! Bad water pressure! Mold in shower. 2. Beds are hard as stone and lumpy! 3. Only provided one shampoo for multiple guests in room. 4. Towels felt like sandpaper! 5. Hot tub smelled something awful! 6. Charged 10.70 per night for parking! 7. No continental breakfast! 8. Coffee maker in room was too dirty to use! 9. Local calls cost over 80 cents, each! 10. Not what we expected.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • Connected to Mayo by underground subway, great in winter.
  • Older hotel in need of remodeling.

“This is a great hotel for visits to the mayo clinic. This is due to its location next to mayo clinic. My advice is checking the cost of this hotel against cost of less expensive hotels that offer shuttle service.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • Its proximity to the Mayo Clinic is excellent.
  • The tub and toilet room were very small.

“This is a quiet classic hotel which has an excellent location in the Rochester pedestrian subway system with access to the Mayo Clinic, restaurants and shopping. It is well maintained and reasonably priced which overrides the small bathrooms and the slightly smaller rooms.”

  • It was across the street from Mayo Clinic.
  • I was uncomfortable with Arabic TV channels. There were' any other language of channels other that American & Arabic.

“The hotel is in a great location for people visiting Mayo Clinic. We were told that we'd have a room that was handicapped accessible. As a matter of fact we had to scoot beds over and move chairs in order for wheelchair to even fit in the room.”

Feb 4, 2008 by Steve from Albert Lea, MN
Overall Rating: 3 Overall user rating
Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[4] • Location:[5]

  • The ability to walk to other businesses, Mayo clinic without having to be outside in during inclement weather.
  • Our room and bathroom were very, very small, coat closet has more room than bathroom.

“This hotel is fine if you are looking just for a place to rest your head, but not if you are looking for a weekend away, our particular room/bath was very small. Great location if you are visiting the famed Mayo Clinic and several restaurants/shops to choose from, but parking is another issue, you pay to park in their (the hotel) ramp and if their ramp is full, you will be lugging your luggage a couple of blocks if you are lucky to find another ramp with parking.”
