“This room was supposed to be an anniversary present for my step daughter and her husband the washed cloths had hairs in them, the A/C didn't work right and they were not offered another room. They could not even stay there, they had to go to another hotel, also I would like my money back.”

“This place should have a new star rating 1/2, I don't usually rate these hotels. This hotel was awful, may be it will be better once the remodel is done.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[1]

  • Mold all over the bathroom.

“It was disgusting, dirty, I was scared. Not worth, I paid. There was a hole in the wall, bugs in the room, and smelled like a musty old house. We had a problem with them put in a smoking room when we requested a non smoking room on the site. The hostess was rude and racist just like the city. I wished I went somewhere else this place was nasty. Mildew in shower, overall filthy. Mold all over the bathroom. No non-smoking rooms were available. I suffer w/allergies and the room had a terrible cigarette smell. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[5] • Location:[2]

  • Nothing.
  • Room, staff, and construction.

“The hotel staff was rude, the hotel was under construction and a mess. The coke machines didn't work and we couldn't find a ice machine anywhere. Then on the way home I get a call from the hotel asking about pillows. There were 2 in my room when I got there and 2 in my room when I left. I was told a manager was going to be calling me but that never happened. Probably because they knew we would complain.”

  • Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room clean and comfortable.
  • Outlet in bath not working but I used one by the bed. No big deal!

“I had a very pleasant stay. The room was quite comfortable and clean. Great location and easy access from hwy. I would stay here again.”

  • Had microwave and fridge.
  • Construction at hotel, and did not know it.

“I did not know about construction at hotel and would have picked a different hotel if I had known about the renovation (or at least a much lower price).”

  • Cleanliness and location.

“Day's Inn varies according to every location. Cleanliness is a minimum I expect from any hotel.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[3] • Location:[5]

  • It was under 60 dollars for one night.
  • The bathroom was not cleaned by the maid and they still rented it to me.

“When we got to the hotel room there was dirty sheets on one chair and the maid told us when we gave her the sheets that she had not cleaned the room, she had only straighten up and changed the sheets. The maid never offered to come and finish cleaning the room. There was a wet wash cloth in the tub that had been used. Everything else was OK.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • It was quiet and comfortable for a reasonable rate.
  • The pool was not open because it had not been cleaned.

“Overall the hotel was more than I had expected due to the low rate, and it was listed as a 1 star hotel; I would have given it at least a 2 or above. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean.”

  • The staff corrected their error in a timely manner.
  • The facilities need a little upgrading, especially the bathrooms.

“The hotel was ok once I got into the correct room. Cleanliness could be improved but it was inexpensive and as the saying goes "you get what you pay for." therefore I won't complain too much. :-).”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[3] • Location:[8]

  • Micro fridge is very convenient especially if you don't like eating out.
  • The peeling wallpaper is distracting and the toilet handle broke on my first night stay.

“It is a good long term stay hotel because of the micro fridge. I did not like the odor of the room or the decor. It needs some serious remodeling. The lock was also broken on my door which made me feel a little uncomfortable.”

  • The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming.
  • This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

“I am writing because we stayed in a room at the day¿s inn in Alexandria, Virginia on Saturday, December 30th. My mother booked it from home as we were returning from Florida. I asked her to book a one star as I have always been pleased with the one star we have stayed in prior to this. When we arrived, the receptionist was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She accommodated a downstairs room and checked us in very quickly. That was the end of the pleasant experience for us. Aside from the fact that it was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in, it was in a terrible part of town and we were quite certain that a drug deal occurred in the parking lot outside of our room. The bathroom was disgusting with holes in the ceiling, the wallpaper was peeling off and it did not look like the tub had been cleaned in years. I have pictures. We paid and if it had not been paid in advance, we would have demanded a refund and left immediately. I am extremely disappointed that this hotel was even offered through it as I thought that each and every hotel had been personally inspected at some point by your company. As I could not demand a refund through the hotel, I request this through you. I am happy to provide you with photographs of the inadequacies. Your time and attention to this matter is appreciated.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • The lady at the reception desk did what she could to find us a better room.
  • The non smoking room had a terrible stench and the bed was dirty and stank too. The only option was a room for smokers, but that smelled even worse.

“The smell in the room was terrible. The chairs had a black sticky layer of dirt on the arm rests. The bed blankets had many holes in them from cigarettes (this was a non smoking room!) and the sheets smelled dirty. The water closet needed repair (water kept running) but fortunately I could take care of that myself (understandably there was no repairman available at the time we arrived, 7:00 PM), otherwise we would have been forced to accept the only other available room, which was for smokers. We had a brief look in there, but could not stand the smell. In spite of the fact that the lady at the reception was very nice and tried to help us, we will not consider a Days Inn again.”

  • The location.
  • It was dirty, the bathroom sink backed up, and the front desk clerk was not very helpful.

“The room was dirty...yucky smudges on the refrigerator and microwave, the bathroom was gross - mold on tile in shower, wall paper peeling off the wall, the sink would not drain. Not a pleasant experience.”
