• Location and easy access to my point of business.
• Tea and coffee making facilities were stationed in the bathroom/toilet. This is un-hygenic.

“The room in this hotel was large enough for the coffee and tea making utensils to be stationed outside the toilet/bathroom area. Having food or beverages in such an area is un-acceptable. Staff serving during breakfast was very friendly.”

• The hotel had a wonderful full breakfast included with the meal. The business plus room was like a suite.
• The beds were not very comfortable at all.

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was quite large with a fridge and a microwave in a separate sitting area (business plus room). The rooms were clean and well kept. The only complaint are the beds are fairly uncomfortable. My 4 year old child kept waking up and saying Mommy, I'm not comfortable all night. Also, the full breakfast provided was very nice and added value to our stay.”

• Great indoor pool, decent gym.
• Weak television reception.

“This wasn't a bad place to stay. The gym, though small, was sufficiently stocked for a traveler to keep in shape. It had a treadmill, Bow flex, exercise bike, and step master, and a indoor pool that was sufficiently large for swimming laps. The hotel bar was lively, though mostly forgettable, and the complementary buffet-style breakfast was tasty enough. The bed was comfortable, but the television was not very clear, and the channel selection was weak at best. Still, if you're visiting Marshalltown and like a hotel with lots of accommodations, this is pretty much your best bet.”

• hard mattresses and party down the hall until I called front desk.

“This hotel was extremely easy to find. The local talent was good except at giving directions to places in town. The bed mattresses (I rented a double queen room) were both hard and I didn't rest very well. Other than that, I would go back next year.”
