“We stayed there one night per year in the past three years and have had problems each and every time. The last time was the very worst. From 4PM on it appears no one is in charge. We were there on a Friday night. No manager was available. There's no staff older than early 20's on site at night. Our room had no bathroom lights. No manager or maintenance man was available. We were moved to a room adjacent to a hallway with vending machines, ice machine and a loud, oft-slammed door. In addition to the constant slamming of that hallway door there came a series of loud bangs on the wall behind our TV. The mirror next to our TV was literally bouncing off the wall with each bang. I thought the mirror would fall off the wall. In spite of my protests, my wife went into the hall, around the corner and found teenaged girls having an ice fight in the hallway. She politely asked them to stop banging on the wall. Moments later the teen girls started knocking on our door and running away. This went on for 20 minutes until my wife, standing silently with one eye at the peephole and holding the door handle down in the release position, saw one of the teens peering back into our peephole. My wife yanked the door open and caught the girl with fist raised to knock on the door again. My wife told her to move along. I had driven for more than nine hours that day. All I wanted was some sleep. Fat chance. Children in the pool just down from our room screamed. They screamed constantly. No one stopped them. No staff. No parents. No one. I called the desk. I was told the pool closed at 11PM. The screaming continued past 11:20. I fell asleep. Then the music from the lounge began its thumping, bass beat. I was kept awake past 3AM. The Austin MN Holiday is totally up for grabs. No one is minding the store. Kids do whatever they want while their parents hang out in the bar. There is no mature staff on duty. A hotel doesn't need the most experienced manager on duty in the daytime; it needs that experienced person at night when problems arise. I wrote it up and sent it to the asst. manager. My email was ignored. I emailed it to the Holiday Inn Corporate staff. I got back a form letter. I will never go back!”

“It was a disappointment. The room was just a bit larger than the average hotel room. It was overpriced. Would not recommend a suite at this hotel to anyone else.”
