• Pool, comfortable bedding.
• Tennis court needs repair.

“The staff was very friendly at the Clarion and even on short notice, later in the evening; they found a room for us. It was on the second floor overlooking the lake. Although the view was ok, we asked and received a room that was on a higher floor so that we could see the lake better. The bedding was very comfortable! The rooms were good too. The next day we decided to stay another night (using our points again) and with help from the front desk personnel were allowed to stay in the same room. It was great. We used the pool which is located overlooking the lake and also used the tennis court (a little dated) with my kids. We really enjoyed the stay and will stay there again in the future.”

• It was on the lake.
• We received a room with a view of a volley ball net and werent allowed to change.

“The hotel staff was not friendly! Only one staff member was helpful with providing information with things to do within the city. The view we received was dissatisfying because we were not allowed a lake view.”

• Location on Lake Hamilton. Private balcony
• Electricity went out, no showers, lights, coffee maker etc. Dirty coffee cup with paper cover replaced.

“Beautiful location but terrible management. No vouchers of any sorts for inconvenience of no electrify or hot water for showers. Insensitive staff to the plight we experienced.”

• Right across from a phenomenal Italian restaurant.
• Outside looked a little dated.

“The staff was very helpful-the bar and grill was very nice and the food was good-location a little out of the way to Downtown but convenient to shopping.”

• All rooms recently renovated and nicely appointed. Even had a balcony!
• Not very appealing from the outside.

“Recently traveled with my husband and 9 year old son to Hot Springs. From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much but the rooms are recently refurbished and look great. The beds were comfortable with lots of extra pillows. We had some issues with the shower faucet not working but they had it fixed within 30 minutes of our request. The restaurant was delicious and we ate breakfast there every morning. There are lots of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. We booked a room with a "Lake View" but it was more of a partial view and overlooked the small playground in the back of the hotel. It was quiet and very peaceful sitting on the private balcony having coffee in the mornings. The pool looked nice but was closed due to the season.”

• The view from our room was beautiful and the hotel had a play area for kids.
• The staff was not personable and there needed to be more counter space in the bathroom (there was no where to set cosmetic or hygienic items).

“Overall our stay was pleasant. We were accommodated when we asked for a room with a view. The hotel was older, but you could tell they tried to keep it updated. It was a nice hotel for the price we paid. We wouldn't mind staying there again!”

• It was a little too far from the downtown area.

• The bed was extremely comfortable!
• Would like to have had a hot tub.

“The hotel met my expectations. The room was clean, comfortable, with an excellent bed. The staff was friendly. My overall experience was positive and hassle free - which is exactly what I wanted.”

• Decor was fine and location nice.
• Lobby smelled no functioning pool and pool area, which is the main attraction there.

“Staff was friendly and helpful, lobby smelled as soon as you walked in. Pool water wasn't ready and couldn't even sit out in the pool area which faced the lake, for the reason of the pool not functioning. This was not a resort experience by far.”

• It had a nice pool and playground area.
• The lake view consisted of looking over the house next door and thru their trees. Not at all what I would call a lake view. Partial view maybe.

“The people were friendly. That was the perk. Our room was dusty. There was a stain on the box springs that looked like someone had vomited on it at some point. The hallways were so hot that the candy bar we bought in the vending machine was melted. We waited for 2 hours to have wash cloths delivered. Then had to go to the front desk to complain before someone brought them. Then the next day when we returned the air had been turned way up so it was warm in the room. And there was 1 washcloth. I felt like it was a rip off.”

• The room was clean
• The office help was very rude !!!!!!!

“The girl in the office was very rude . We waited over 2 hours for our room and was told we would get the next one only to see people come up and were given a room . We were not told of the coffee and what ever was on the 7th floor. We did not know they had any thing or coffee . We will never stay at this place again . The only good thing I can say is the room was clean . If your Office help was as nice and hard workers was the cleaning people you would have a nice resort. ”

• Central location, yet
• No shuttle or hotel van

“I attend and plan several conference's a year and the Clarion Resort was the best host hotel yet! The meeting facilities were spectacular (our meeting room had a view of the lake) The catering staff was so friendly and took care of all of the attendees needs. The food was not your typical hotel food, very tasty. I received no complaints from anyone about their hotel rooms. My room was comfortable, clean and it too had a great view with balcony. We will definitely be using the Clarion again.”
