• I absolutely loved the decor and the old world charm of the hotel.
• I did find it rather difficult to find the entrance to the parking area.

“The hotel and staff was amazing, they were exceptionally quick to help us out. They seemed genuinely interested in what brought us to their hotel.”

• Convenient to get to the Metrodome.
• Hard to find.

“Hotel was in a great location if visiting the Metrodome. Rooms looked to be recently updated, you could smell the new carpet. Rooms were tastefully decorated. Didn't eat at the hotel, prices looked expensive.”

• The entire staff at the hotel from the maintenance staff to the bartender were very friendly.
• We had to change rooms because the AC was broken in our first room.

“A perfect place to stay if you are going to a Twins game. It is right in the middle of the stadium and the Bar District, both were only a five to ten minute walk away.”

• Convenient location.
• On the second day of our stay, desk person was not very pleasant and seemed to be inconvenienced.

• Bar was friendly. Front desk staff was very helpful.
• Problem in restaurant. Did not take care of it. General manager hotel did.

• Bed bugs in bed.

“Found 6 dead beg bugs in the bed. The solution of the management was to move me to another room and say oh, that happens some times".”

• Staff friendly and helpful.
• Not connected directly to the skyway.

“Hotel is older. Close walking distance to the train, and downtown shopping and event venues. Right across the street to the skywalk system and cab rides are cheap around downtown once the sky walk closed. Overall service was very good.”

• Bar & Restaurant seemed stuffy.

“If you are going to an event at the Target Center, this is an excellent place to stay. It is not over priced and within walking distance.”

• The pool area was terrible.

“The pool area was a disappointment very cold in area. Water was cold. My kids looked forward to the pool and were unable to swim.”

• The front desk was fast, but welcoming and very friendly.
• There was no room service, but, you could order and take out food to your room.

“This hotel, located about a mile from the heart of the downtown is a great price, especially for visitors who only plan to use the rooms as a resting place. Don't get me wrong, I was very comfortable nice, warm bed, quite, clean, large enough bathrooms, and a friendly staff. No room service but with a restaurant and bar off the main lobby (and take out to your room available) it wasn't missed.”

• Location was great; price was reasonable and met our needs.
• No cups for water in the workout room; one bartender more interested in visiting with others, than waiting on customers.

“We have stayed at another hotel in the same general location. We were happy with the Normandy and will stay there again, as well as refer friends and family members.”

• Staff was very friendly and the milk and cookies were great!
• Where to begin.

“There were probable drug deals and definite smoking of crack cocaine in the parking lot. As guests we were charged $13 for parking at the hotel. The pool light was on and floating freely from its wires in the water. The free breakfast was mediocre at best. ”

• Nothing.

“We had a great stay. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the continental breakfast was sufficient. For what we needed the room was perfect. It was pretty reasonably priced for what you get when you compare it to prices of other downtown hotels.”

• I liked the size of the room.
• Did not like the musty, Smokey smell and the leaky faucet in the bathroom.

“I would not stay here again because of the musty, Smokey smell. And the cleanliness of the room was not up to my standards.”

• Nice suites, friendly, helpful staff.
• Restaurant and lounge was closed, under construction, sauna did not work when I wanted it to, but they fixed it right away.

“Overall, a very good experience. There were a few drawbacks with the lounge under contraction and the sauna needed a reset before it worked. But the room was great, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was good (some of them were on their first day so they were trying really hard) the location worked really well for metronome and downtown activities. I will go back again.”

• Location, vending machine items (pop, water) were sold out.
• Rooms were dirty, bathroom wasn't clean, and floors were noticeably stained.

“The location is great. However, the cleanliness of the room was very poor and needs to be addressed. The bathroom was not cleaned; the floors were grimy and stained. My stay was nothing less than disappointing.”

• We were in a brand new suite which was gorgeous.
• Had to go thru bedroom to get to bathroom.

“Awesomely clean, newly remodeled, responded quickly to requests. Exceeded my expectation. Inviting pool area. I will always try to stay there on my game visits to the city.”
