Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[3] • Location:[1]

  • In Downtown.
  • Safety.

“This hotel has some work to do. Safety is definitely an issue. People off the street would crowd around the front door and try to get in after you. I had to go the front desk three times to get a key that opened my door. People were loud in the night. My heater stopped working the second night I was there. Definitely find someplace else to stay in Downtown Minneapolis, there are many better options!”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Proximity to event.
  • Tired, old carpet, wallpaper framing around doors, hallway noise at 3 AM.

“This is an old, tired hotel, with a long walk to access rooms that has old carpet that isn't adhering anymore.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Free internet, clean.
  • Old facility needs upgrade.

“It's an ok place to sleep. It was clean but somewhat Spartan. The coffee ship is only open until noon and has a very limited menu. It is very close to a lot of Downtown attractions and restaurants but it's in a kind of dark area off the main street. I wouldn't walk around here at night (Im a female).”

  • Older facility needs upgrading.

“Adequate for sleeping and a good internet connection. I probably would not stay here again it is too outdated.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[8] • Location:[3]

  • The staff was friendly.
  • The facilities were out dated and very run down.

“Overall the room was clean, but the hotel itself is old and the rooms are run down (dingy feeling) (e.g. peeling wallpaper, old tile in bathroom, paint peeling from bottom of tub etc.) I had expected more from a Ramada (I thought that they had higher standards.)”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[1] • Location:[6]

  • Location to metro dome.
  • I did not receive double bed. Hotel frequented by pimps and whores. Night staff unhelpful.

“Very poor service from front desk. They said they were sold out and my two doubles were not available. I had to ask for a roll away and roll it myself to the room. Bums and working girls were present inside and outside the hotel. They even had the nerve to charge me for parking.”

  • The smell of the rooms too smoky.

“It was ok for the night and the price.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[7] • Location:[4]

  • Shuttle transportation.
  • Room accommodations for the price that is required.

“The hotel does not meet the star level, nor should it require such a high per night price. I would never stay there if I had to pay full price. The rooms were small, the beds were small and we opened our room window to find out there was no screen on the window. We stayed on the second floor if I would have had my children with me, I would have feared one of them falling out.”

  • Leaving.
  • The help.

“This was by far the worst hotel experience that we have had. The photos of the room were very misleading. The room was half the size of the photos. Their were many people from the street hanging out in the lobby at all hours of the night. The bathroom was falling apart and dirty. When I called to see if they had room service for breakfast, I got hung up on; a manager did call me back and take care of it finally. It is an old hotel and we had to deal with heavy doors slamming at all hours. We were waked up early Sunday morning by people fighting for over any hour. I would have complained to the staff, but they did not seem to care about the guests a whole lot. When I checked out, they asked me how my stay was and I said that I had had better and I was laughed at. We could leave quick enough and will never go back and have made sure to share the experience with our friends so they do not make the same bad choice.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • The location to downtown Minneapolis could not be beat.
  • The toilet clogged but the maintenance staff quickly fixed the problem.

“I read the other reviews of this hotel and I was worried to stay here but they were so far off I could not believe it. When we walked in the lobby it was beautiful. The location was great, not scary. The staff and room were very nice. What do people expect for a budget hotel?”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[5] • Location:[8]

  • The location was convenient.
  • It was not as clean or comfortable as I expected.

“The elevator, pool, and my room were tagged with graffiti. The halls and elevator smelled like fish. One bed in my room was broken, the leg of the table in my room was broken, there was an iron burn on the carpet and cigarette burns on the blankets, and many of the TV channels didn't come in well. My friend even got sick from the allergens in the room. Also, the bathroom wasn't in the best condition. The paint was peeling off the ceiling and the metal tissue holder was rusty. The walls are paper thin and a domestic disturbance in a room down the hall kept me awake for hours. This hotel does not deserve two stars. I am not sure it even deserves one.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[6] • Location:[8]

  • Close to downtown Minneapolis entertainment.
  • Way over priced for the quality of the hotel. Badly outdated rooms, this hotel needs a facelift.

“This hotel is in close proximity to downtown Minneapolis night life (positive aspect), but is in a bad location next to the bus depot. Lots of street people and panhandlers hanging around. Where are the cops? This hotel is overpriced for the quality of the rooms and amenities. It needs an updating badly. For a few more dollars you can stay at a more upscale hotel in downtown Minneapolis without worrying if you are going to get mugged, robbed, or solicited for a drug deal. If the area was cleaned up of the riff raff and street people and the hotel was updated it might be worth the price they are charging.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[7]

  • Good location.
  • The room had a bad humidity smell, had to change several times.

“Good hotel, although the property is rather old, and in need of maintenance and repair (windows let rain water in). Bad humidity smell emanates from ac in the rooms.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[9] • Location:[4]

  • It was close to my sons new apt & school. Good breakfasts.
  • Broken chair in room, uncomfortable beds, no linen change, paying for parking.

“The employees were very nice. The lobby is very clean, & presentable. This is where the good comments end. No one is there to help with luggage. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There was a broken chair in our room.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[5] • Location:[10]

  • The one thing that was good about the Ramada is it's location. Restaurants and bars are within steps.
  • The rooms are actually horrible. No better than a hostel. Bedding seemed dirty and was uncomfortable.

“The Ramada was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The lobby and restaurant seem nice, but we didn't explore them thoroughly. When we arrived in our room, however, it was a shock. No better than a hostel. Disgusting and old. Beds were uncomfortable and the bedding felt dirty.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[2] • Location:[5]

  • Wake up call that was not ordered at 5am, very dull and unattractive room not star level expected.
  • See number 13, very loud next to street and due to other loud people staying in room.

“Not the star level expected, complained about wake up call at 5 am that we did not ask for and was told we would get free breakfast but never did get vouchers. Hotel staff was not helpful, room was gross and dull.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[1]

  • Nothing! It was dirty, rooms poor. Bad area and staff unfriendly.
  • Room dirty and not updated. Everything either broken or not working!

“This was a terrible hotel to stay at and one that perhaps should not have the Ramada name! It was in a bad area of town with bums hanging out all over. Everything was dingy in the room and musty smelling, dirty and run down. Practically everything did not work -the air broken, shower tiles broken, cigarette burns on the furniture that was supposed to be non smoking. Cigarette butts on the window sill, no screens on the window. Staff very unaccommodating and unfriendly. Switched rooms and still was not great! This barely makes the rating of a one star hotel. Very disappointed.”
