“I have stayed at the Basin Park before and it's almost a throwback to another time. you can get lost in another area in the building and the surrounding grounds. we enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff and our room. I have always liked the Basin Park hotel.”

“Parking is at least a 1/4 mile away, must get shuttle which is a pain and you have to tip each time you want your car!”

“Good location its a 104 year old facility that probably could use some updating on the inside.”

“This Hotel is in a great location and the rooms were clean. That is the best thing about this hotel because there is nothing about the rooms to make you want to be there other than to sleep and shower. As far as sleeping, the beds were the worst I have slept in, and I have been in 14 different hotels this summer alone. The front desk staff, other than the night clerk, were far from helpful or friendly and often made us feel as if we were bothering them by checking in or asking a simple question. This Hotel is old and that is charming but is no excuse for the lack of "comfort" considering the classification of this as a 3 star hotel and the price for lodging. It is a 2 star at best and not worth a three digit price tag.”

“The hotel is in a great location for shopping, it has great service. The antique factor really appealed to us. The 3 room suites are really nice, very romantic. We stayed on the 5th floor which is right under the Billiard room. We will be requesting not to do that again. They also allow small dogs there and our neighbor left their dog, barking, for a very long time. The parking there is not very good but you can't expect any less because of the area. You have to leave your car a half mile away from the hotel and you are shuttled back over. The shuttle service is very fast and very friendly. All and all we will be staying there again. We had a fantastic stay and enjoyed every minute of it.”

“The location was great, right in downtown. The hotel parking was a long uphill hike from the hotel, I guess this qualifies as free hotel parking.”

“We were in Eureka Springs for a wedding on February 7, 2009, and stayed in the Basin Park Hotel for two nights. Our room was cold and drafty; we couldn't find a thermostat so assumed no heat available. Since the hotel is historic (old) the ceilings in our room were high with poor lighting. The bathroom had been updated, but the sink was in the outer room. And the only mirror was a 9" by 12" one over that sink! Imagine two adults dressing for a wedding! The hotel staff is friendly and the front desk was prompt when called at 2 am to quiet a very noisy party in our hallway that woke our grandson. There's no parking at the hotel so patrons must unload at the door and drive their cars to a parking area down the hill. The hotel does provide a shuttle back.”

“Very nice and would recommend to others. Carming old hotel and would recommend for people to ask for front or side views not the interior of hotel.”

“Smack dab in the middle of everything, this hotel oozes history. Typical of other historic hotels there are somewhat small bathrooms (since they were added some years later) along with other charm such as creaky wood floors. However, for those that enjoy history this hotel is a blast. As others have noted there is no complimentary breakfast or coffee, however the free wifi worked great for me. Those that enjoy historic hotels will not be disappointed with this unique hotel where all of the 6 floors open onto the ground.”
